The Shack Cafe

The food was tasty and very good quality but the service was the high point. The staff was happy, friendly and genuine. We'll come back here whenever we're in Steamboat. If you want a good meal and a great experience, choose this restaurant.

We were looking for a super fast breakfast and they were so accommodating. The food was great, the service was awesome too. My kids declared the pancakes the best. Will definitely be back.

Food was good. Nice cozy place

The service was good. The food wasn’t tho. My boyfriend and I ordered corn beef benedict and country fried steak. The benedict was overly smothered in hollandaise sauce to the point it was gross, the corned beef was canned and not homemade. The fried steak was unseasoned and had packet gravy on it. Nothing we had was homemade or tasted good. Honestly I wouldn’t come back again, unimpressed and disappointed.

I have been coming to Steamboat Springs off and on for many years. 20 years ago or so I discovered The Shack and now every visit to Steamboat includes a visit to The Shack. Always good food and great service. The 2 waitresses working this last visit Kim and Hailey worked well together which is always good to see. Food was fast, delicious and reasonably priced.

The staff is super friendly and nice. The will treat you like old friends. The food is superb, the plates are abundant and super tasty.

Love this place, I always go once every 15 days at least. Feel like I'm having breakfast or lunch on my mom's house. Warm, good food and the staff is really nice. Ortega Steak is my favorite.

My family has never complained more about a place than this one. Food was cold, items missed, waited an hour for basic foods. My daughter actually said it was the worst french toast she'd eaten. I think their only saving grace was a decent burger and a nice waitress.
