The Shack Cafe

Ok the staff is patient and kind with the kiddos. Pancakes are fluffy and perfect. Mickey mouse pancakes delighted the kiddos. I had a fantastic Philly with Swiss and the fries oh the fluffy crispy amazing french fries. I could eat a plate of those alone. Biscuits and gravy should also not be missed. I don't think you could go wrong with anything here! Great food great service!

Although the food was mostly good, the overall experience was not great. I ordered the rib-eye steak and eggs, order of biscuit and gravy, and a hot chocolate. The person that answered the phone was giving very short answers, didn't ask for my information, nor did she give me a total. I get to the restaurant and it appears I was the only one with an order to go, my card was taken and charged, and I was handed my bag. I had to ask for the hot chocolate and the whipped cream on top.

I get back to my hotel to find the steak is very thin and dry. The eggs and hashbrowns were fantastic. But, the biscuit (photo attached) was clearly meant to be a sandwich of some kind where the egg and meat were taken out. This is a bit unsettling, but nothing seemed "gross" so I ate it. It was a great biscuit.

Overall, the food was decent outside of exceptions but the take-out service lacked a bit.

Great option for breakfast in Steamboat! This place is small so you may need to wait a few to get seated but the food is spot on once you get a spot! Eggs Benedict and Mac’s omelet were tasty and filling

Service was super quick and attentive, had my breakfast in front of me within minutes of sitting down. Biscuits and gravy was tasty, too. Nice affordable place in a mountain town.

Fantastic portions, great customer service, great food, speed of light food turn around time. Jacqueline was a great waitress with all of the patience and kindness. Brodo was kind, sat us immediately and took our drink orders. 10/10 would recommend to anyone at steamboat who wants a good hearty breakfast and a cozy atmosphere.

Great food, prices, and they keep people moving so you don't have to wait long. We almost went next door to try something new until we saw the difference in prices for a simple hamburger. We keep going back. It's delicious and reasonable in prices, service, and expectations as a business in a resort town. Thank you for not taking advantage and doing good business.

Excellent biscuits and gravy, and the lunch is solid too. The Chili and Avocado burger are also both really delish. Service is friendly and quick.

The food was fresh, made to order and tasted excellent. Staff was attentive, friendly and efficient. The most reasonably priced breakfast in Steamboat!

Just what I needed to start my morning! Awesome service! Awesome food and awesome atmosphere. I'm from Texas on a hunting trip and this place was perfect!
