Visited Cafe on 1/27 to enjoy first time jazz. Started off great, ordered hamburger and club sandwich, tea. 1 hour later, nothing. Inquiry met with, our cook quit so you will get your food when it’s ready. Rude manager! Just as I asked for money back a most disgusting non club sandwich arrived. Bread burnt, hamburger bun burnt. Will not return or recommend this place.

*Very* crowded, from the very first moment they open the door you're going to be subject to no less than a 10-minute wait in line just to order your coffee. Staying a while and want a refill? You gotta get to the back of the line, and now it's a 15 minute wait. Good luck!

The piano player (sign says every Saturday) is way too loud, we could not hear our own conversation at my table halfway across the room. I asked the staff and they refused to ask him to close the piano top to reduce the volume. Came for coffee with friends, felt like I was forced into a concert hall.

The coffee was good, the experience was not worth it.

I went here back in like in the beginning of the year and the service was so terrible I actually couldn’t forget it. The manager/owner was rude and abrasive, coffee was subpar, cake was dry. They were out of lids?? Order enough quantity for your coffee shop next time. Normally I try to give people and establishments the benefit of the doubt, but no. This place really surprised me with their lack of decorum.

Nice relaxed cafe. Lots of table space to enjoy food and drinks. I had the buttermilk pancakes with berries, expresso butter and maple syrup. Delicious and good value. Alternative nut milk options for your coffee and tea too

Charged me 60 dollars for these 2 bottles. I am so stupid to not get a receipt. They are 12 dollars a piece at Total Wine. I don’t think the girl running up the pricing was paying attention and I messed up because I assumed these were expensive bottles. BE CAREFUL WHEN BUYING WINE HERE.

Cafe Stella is an eclectic mix of decor with spacious table seating for one to family farm table. The environment, staff and clientele were all gently welcoming. Clearly this was a locals hang out with some people using personal computers, reviewing papers, dropping in wearing running and biking gear, and others visiting with each other while dining. Folks chatted friendly with the barista, who called them by name as they approached to order.
Food choices included an array of pastries, healthy eating, and freshly made meals. The board has plenty of beverage options to include house coffee blends that smell heavily! I tried the chai tea latte and a yummy baked egg dish while my friend had the house coffee. She loves Stella's and now I do too. Reasonable prices.

I like local spots, and this place fits the bill. Ordered a mocha and a Jewish apple cake; both were good. The espresso wasn't disgustingly bitter too, like Starbucks usually is. I'll be back when I'm in Norfolk.

Online it says they open at 6:30am, I tired to go at 7am but the door was locked. I called to clarify the hours thinking I must have read them wrong, and they were super rude to me on the phone - I usually love this place and just suggested an edit on Google maps for the hours. Hopefully I’ll be able to get here during open hours again soon! 🥲

The owner is RUDE! I’ve watched the owner be publicly rude to my friend recently. No one wants your free Wi-Fi. And to even insinuate that she was visibly upset or angry over some free Wi-Fi is LAUGHABLE! And before you say this is a “fake review” I’ve interacted with the same man….he is rude…..he is condescending and he is the reason I have never come back. And I suggest that anyone reading does not patronize this business as well! Someone should be able to set up their computer and THEN get in line to order. Especially frequent customers but someone as rude as him clearly doesn’t care about long standing costumer relationships.
