Great, relaxed atmosphere. The food I ordered this evening wasn't very inspiring though. The $10 bean burger was quite dry and came with only a thin veneer of sauce and the barest of vegetable toppings, with a small serving of pita chips on the side. The $6 Indian seasoned sweet potatoes didn't taste very seasoned, and more like the sweet potatoes that I make in my air fryer. Not bad, but not special.
Edit - I went back and had the quinoa chickpea burger. There were mere scraps of lettuce and almost no sauce on the patty, resulting in a very dry burger. Separately, when I asked the guy behind the counter to turn the music down because it was so loud we almost had to shout at each other across the table, he refused to do so, saying that's what the customers like. Rating dropped from three to two stars.
Edit - in response to the owner's reply, my friends left with me, so not sure how they could have "apologized"; they all thought the music was too loud as well. The quiet room was occupied; I appreciate you letting me know about it and we will look to use it if we come back.

Laced and low key. Definitely a shop for anyone and everyone.
Large space, lots of seating.
(Can be a lil chilly)
Food (soups, sandwiches, wraps, burritos, etc.) inspired from all over the world. Lots or drinks such as hot teas, iced teas, sodas (canned or Italian), espresso, coffee, alcohol, matcha, juices....
Games to be played, self bussing areas, items to buy (tea sets or French presses)
Staff is very efficient and hard working getting your drink out fast they Are Really nice; food is freshly made and may take a bit longer ( also there is online ordering) *I highly recommend the ShakShuka, very satisfying (not spicy hot in anyway)*
(Business comes in waves, a line and then a spot of dead, repeat)
This place has their sh** TOGETHER❣️

Several times here, decided to grab lunch before heading out to Norfolk winter market .4 mile away. Ordered the breakfast bowl, first time to try. Really delicious with the grilled veggies tomato, asparagus, the perfectly cooked potatoes and sunny egg! Got a caramel macchiato ala Starbucks style and lemon bar and pear upside down cake to go.
Service was great as always, you order at the counter, grab your number and service is prompt and friendly. Ambience is always happening here, it seems that all kinds of folks come to enjoy the vibe and food - business folks still talking about work on a weekend, students catching up on their homework or studies, moms/daughters/friends/families come here to gather.
Oh and as I entered I noticed that their baby grand has some jazz pianist playing dons nice tunes, what a treat!
Now is there one slight imperfection? Wish they re-upholster their window seats and chairs!

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Great Cafe with MANY options all day long!! Employees are helpful and kind! My favorites so far are the chicken salad, Reubens, and club. The atmosphere is like no other, very artsy and fun.

Love this place! Locally owned coffee shop that offers a lot of food (and drink) options, They even offer beer, wine and cocktails.
Plenty of seating, with a mixture of tables, benches, and counter seating. You'll find a mixture of people studying, doing work, playing games, and just hanging out.
You don't feel rushed. Laid back and chic cool atmosphere.

Marvelous Cafe! Since arriving from Chicago, we yearned for a cafe that offered excellent food and espresso. Well, we finally found it -- thanks to the 757Foodie (FB group). The ambience is replete with what I can best describe as a European-American fusion in terms of decor and music. The menu is extensive, though each item had my mouth watering. I thoroughly enjoyed the double cappuccino. The espresso was smooth and not too acidic. We ventured for the Cafe Burger, and it was delicious. Oh and if in season, you must try the pistachio-cherry biscotti. All baked goods are made in-house.

Every time I come here, it's a great experience. The staff is always super nice, and the food is amazing. I always have to get a brownie when I go! The coffee/espresso drinks are amazing and there's a lot of flavor syrups to try, and the teas and juices are really good too. Honestly, there isn't anything complain about as far as I've come across.
