Cafe Stella

The place looks old and in a need of cleaning and remodeling so I expected it to make it up with quality coffee and food.
It didn’t.
The coffee is okay, nothing special really, the cappuccino smelled and tasted burned. The sandwich was mediocre.
I will not be coming back.

This is literally the best coffee shop in this area. Coffee is out of this world good!!
The service is beyond great! Beyond any great service you can think of!

Adorable little cafe in the heart of downtown norfolk! Great coffee and delicious food! Extensive beer and wine selection. Street parking only. I've been several times but today I had the stone ground grits with andouille sausage and it was delicious!!! Customer service is phenomenal!

Huge fan of Cafe Stella! Great place to post up and do work or to meet up with a friend to hang out. The food isn’t always the biggest portions but I’ve never had anything that didn’t taste good (surprisingly good burgers). The coffee is good and really well priced (ask for their whipped cream…it makes everything even better). It is often busy but not it a bad way because the atmosphere stays homey and warm. Easily one of my favorite coffee shops in the Hampton Roads (Coalescence is great too).

Great coffee shop with fresh made breakfast sandwiches and a great selection of tea. Stop by you won't regret it

The owner couple can come across as being rude but their cappuccinos are undoubtedly the best. I moved to FL a while ago and I miss this place!

Nice place for a meeting or to get a little work done. It was pretty busy on a Tuesday early afternoon but still quiet enough to hold a conversation with a friend. The iced americano I ordered was strong and the barista served it up quickly. Would definitely visit again.

The owner of this place treated my beautiful black sister. As if we are still in Jim Crow. Do yourself a favor and don’t go.

Atmosphere was exactly what you want in a coffee shop, good spacing for tables, pleasant ambient music, and well maintained dining are. Ordered an iced mocha and their grilled cheese. Both were tasty and filling. Would definitely visit again.
