Third Wave Coffee

Nice place, they have a good menu with a variety of pastries, and coffee options.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Lynchburg! The matcha is so good and they make their own almond milk. Most things they sell at the shop is made in house. Great place for all coffee and tea products!

Lynchburg has some good coffee shops, but this one is hands down my favorite. While it can get busy at times, the modern interior, the kind baristas, and the coffee itself makes this my favorite shop. Highly recommend Third Wave to anyone looking to enjoy some coffee in the area.

This place never fails to amaze. They have complex and lovely flavors. It's the perfect place to hang out with friends or study on a rainy day. They have a little something for everyone.

There are a bunch of coffee shops in Lynchburg, but I would say that Third Wave is arguably the best. The owner and workers KNOW coffee and what makes it good. They feature many different kinds of brewing and flavors that are not available anywhere else, but also provide the tried-and-true favorites. Everything is freshly brewed. The bakery is delicious. This is one of the places I bring visiting friends when they ask what are the great places in Lynchburg.

Positives: Amazing coffee (I’ve almost never had a bad cup of coffee here), tons of seating, open reasonably late
Negatives: They don’t really do food at all, that’s not really bad just something to be prepared for.
tldr: This is one of my favorite coffee shops I’ve ever been to and BY FAR the best coffee shop in the Lynchburg area. With a wide variety of exceptional coffees, abundant seating, and an incredibly knowledgeable staff it’s easy to give them the best rating possible.

Thoughts: So we’ve all got those places that we’ve visited that somehow instantly impress upon us the perfection of their existence, right? Like that place you’ve visited plenty of times and no matter how often you go back it always seems to be exactly what you’re looking for. For me Third Wave Coffee is one of those perfect places. I can’t count how many times we’ve been there over the years but every single time I go it is a fantastic experience.

I know I listed what I ordered last time but I have gotten almost everything they offer at Third Wave. Their espresso drinks are always on fire and they always have a wide selection of beans for pour overs. Their pour overs are phenomenal, they hand make their own syrups, and they always have a small menu of seasonal drinks. Third Wave is consistently one of the best places to get coffee that I’ve ever been to.

And then, as if that wasn’t enough, they have a phenomenal space to sit and do work. If you’ve been following along with my reviews you know that one of my wife and I’s favorite places to do work is at a coffee shop. So when a place has not only abundance space, but space laid out very well, I’m always a huge fan. And Third Wave pulls this off tremendously well.

I could probably go on and on about Third Wave for way longer than is acceptable for a single review. So with that in mind, honestly just go to Third Wave if you like coffee. Don’t spend a lot of time thinking about, it just go. If you live in the area go a lot! But if you don’t, make a point to go whenever you’re nearby. You won’t regret it at all.

Well, you might regret it because then every other coffee shop you go to probably won’t feel as good, but you know at least you’ll have found one of the best!

I was really impressed with this coffee shop! The barista who greeted me and took my order was really friendly and kind. I got a flat white with oatmilk and it was perfect (: It seemed like a nice calm place to meet with people or have some alone time.

I am visiting Lynchburg for the week and the first coffee shop I visited was Third Wave. It will also be the only coffee shop I visit while I am here. It was such an amazing experience. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. The nitro cold brew is the best I've ever had. And the espresso is excellent. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Fantastic. Owner is amazing, all the baristas are extremely skilled, and they are consistent! Love stopping by. I purposefully go out of my way to get coffee from their shop. It’s a must go!

this place is not only conveniently located but also conveniently priced. They use the best quality of products and tools with knowledgeable employees which is noted when drinking a cup of their delicious coffee. I would 100% reccomend to a coffee connoiseur, but BEWARE new coffee goers for this place may ruin you.
