Third Wave Coffee

This has been my favorite coffee shop for years, the staff is very friendly. Each person on staff has taught me something new about specialty coffee. Their zeal to invite the average coffee drinker into the world of specialty coffee sets them apart from the other shops in Lynchburg. It’s the perfect place to be productive or procrastinate, try something from their seasonal menu and one of their fresh pastries.

Awesome coffee some with a nice array of food and coffee options. I like the chai tea latte extra spicy!

If you enjoy a incredible cup of fresh quality coffee than this place is perfect for you. The owner Jimmy Thomas has created a shop that blends in the love and arts of coffee with the science and determination of roasting and curating the best roast possible! Right when you walk in you are greeted with a lovely warm smile and given A+ service. The shop atmosphere is light and clean, they do a wonderful job of making sure the customer is taking care of from A-Z! I have never had a bad experience here and I recommend this place to everyone who loves coffee.

So if you love rich espresso or a nice drip coffee or pretty much any coffee that’s not burnt then Third Wave is the shop for you!

You won't find better coffee or better service anywhere else! Highly recommend if you're looking for an excellent cup of coffee! I typically get a pour over, but their oat milk lattes were also good!!

Great coffee. Fantastic staff & customer service. Super friendly, passionate, & knowledgeable. Also, hardly any cranky people come here, so atmosphere is pleasant & uplifting.

Each barista is equally dedicated to the perfection of the drinks they create. As one of the only specialty coffee shops in Lynchburg, they are always dependable and tasty. Their customer service is also top notch and friendly. With several inside and outside seating options, reasonable prices, friendly staff and great drinks, it’s in my top two favorite shops around town.

Owner invited me to try their coffee once he came by my shop. I can honestly say this is the best coffee I think I've ever had. I regret only getting 12oz of it because I almost emptied my cup before even getting out the door. The shop is aesthetically pleasing and in a fantastic location. Employees were super helpful and took time to understand who I was as an individual and what I liked. This is a well run business with a phenomenal product and fantastic customer service. I will be recommending this shop to every person I know. Too bad I can't leave 10 stars.

Not your typical coffee shop. Bright, well lit, lots of room to relax. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A fantastic experience for my daughter and I. She thought her drink to be the best she's ever tasted, and was equally impressed with the amount of flavor in my "plain" coffee. The difference of onsite roasting is evident. Very well liked by us!

if i was in prison and someone asked me what i would want my last drink to be, it would be a third wave latte no questions asked. i would commit a crime for this latte. i would walk through a blizzard for this latte. i would walk on burning coals if a third wave latte was on the other end.

Just tried this place for the first time today!
I ordered an americano with cream and they gave me a fresh small cup of cream beside my americano so that I could choose how much I wanted to add! It was so perfect. And the espresso was very delicious! I will definitely be coming back to visit. Very clean and calm environment compared to some other coffee shops in the burg.
