Proper local diner. You'll feel like you walked into a Happy Days episode. Great breakfast menu and completely delicious.

Wonderful historic building houses Frost Cafe. Nice, friendly staff, know their regulars well.
Great food anytime. My country ham was very salty (as should be),fried eggs were perfectly cooked to my liking, toast not to dark. And a tall glass of chocolate milk reminded me of our regular place when I was a kid.
Of course I'll eat there again.

Solid little dinner with classic American food. We sat at the counter and had fantastic service. Quick, fresh food.

I had heard raving reviews of this place so figured we would give it a try. The dinner type food was good, but average. The waitress was friendly but not much up for conversation. My kids enjoyed their PB&J's more than I did my grilled chicken wrap and they are picky eaters. I'm sure they are mainly known for their breakfast so we will have to go back to try that out as well. Also, they only take cash so keep that in mind. They do however have an ATM machine in-house.

This place is super down home. I got the blueberry pancakes and they are huge and so good. The bacon is cooked really well as well as their home fries. The staff is quick and super nice.

Update: So I came back for lunch today and had the "Frost Cheeseburger". WOW what a fantastic burger. The french fries are the crinkle cut that are crisp on the outside and so tender on the inside they feel hollow.

This is a very cozy restaurant with a wonderfully friendly staff. I stopped in for a quick breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the meal. I will definitely be returning. I cannot imagine finding a better breakfast and I look forward to trying lunch. They only accept cash.

I've been going to this diner for years and it is a Culpeper staple and icon. The charming family setting, wonderful staff, and incredible food have won my heart. I used to be a regular customer before I moved away several years ago. When I traveled back recently, one of the sweet waitresses, Miranda recognized me. It was like a welcome home to me. Can say enough good things. Stop in for breakfast. The hotcakes are the best I've ever had!!

Driving through Culpeper we saw this cafe and wanted to have the diner experience. It was an experience alright but not what you want or expect. Upon walking in, the waitress was loudly talking to her friends in a booth, made eye contact with me, paused and then proceeded to gossip and chat loudly with her friends. No greeting, no acknowledgement nothing. No, hi folks just take a seat and I’ll be with you in a minute. So we sat ourselves at a dirty booth and we waited and waited. No one came to clean the table and the waitress remained where she was gossiping and cackling like she was in her lounge room and had no customers to tend to. While we continued to wait, several customers who seemed to have been waiting a while too had to go up to the counter. Oh and so now she’s having another conversation with these customers. Who knows how long that chat was going to be. My husband and I decided to leave and it was the best decision. We went across the road where we were greeted upon entering the establishment, seated and offered water immediately. The food was delicious and wait staff attentive. As it should be.
As a family owned business I’m surprised at how dismissive this waitress was to people she didn’t know. We are all your customers and should feel welcome coming into your business, even if you have to fake it. But hey, there were lots of eating establishments around so they’re benefiting from your poor service.

Great food, friendly staff, old fashion vibe (look up - original tin ceiling the envy of any antique dealer 😁) and place so clean you could eat off the floor if you wanted!!
Belly up to the counter, place your.grilled food order and watch it be cooked on the cleanest ever flat top (I’ve been a grill cook for many years and NEVER saw a grill treated so well - obviously I was impressed).
Our sandwiches besides very tasty were big! Do save room for pie - we didn’t and sadly regretted it!
