Frost Cafe

Was in mood for comfort food so I decided to try Frost’s Cafe after seeing so many great reviews of the restaurant. It’s a very retro cafe with a humble appearance from the inside. My waitress was super friendly and very patient with me. I ordered 2 sunny side up eggs, crispy bacon, home fries with onions, buttered toast & cup of coffee. Everything tasted so delicious especially the home fries with onions. Frost’s Cafe really does the home fries right; it actually tastes freshly made. I really needed to eat some comfort food that day to practice some self-love. It was really nice to slowly eat my meal while overlooking the street without being rushed. I will be visiting the restaurant again with my husband. They had other great food choices that I plan on trying next time.

Lunch with my husband. He raved about the tuna melt! My country fried steak was delicious. Nice retro restaurant with great food, great service, great prices!

The food here was really good and gave you that classic "diner" atmosphere. Definitely enjoyed everything and will be back to try other options on the menu 😋

I ordered a Hot Turkey Sandwich to go.... lunch meat (that’s yellow for some reason), wonderbread, and scoops of instant potatoes. Not even gravy..
I never take time to write reviews, but this place should not sell prepared food, and others should know.
Feels like I’ve been strong armed for $28.08!!!

Went in for breakfast and the place was absolutely packed (always a good sign in my opinion). We sat at the counter near the register and were attended to often and by friendly staff. I had one of the breakfast platters; 2 eggs, country fried steak and potatoes with a biscuit - everything was really good. My friend had a platter served with 2 eggs, sausage patties, potatoes and hotcakes - he really enjoyed it. We both left with half our meals as the portions are very generous.
We will definitely be back to try their lunch/dinner food.

I've lived in this town and county my whole life and this was only the second time I've been here! First time was a few weeks ago for breakfast XD. I love how this place is frozen in time, and the waitresses are all so kind and helpful!! We're definitely making this one of our regular places to eat at downtown! Prices are also very affordable at any time of day! There may be a lot of seating in here, but it also gets packed pretty quick around lunch time. If you're looking for somewhere to park closer to here, I recommend parking in the lot where the photo/art gallery was/is next to the movie theater. You'll have to cross the street, but it's the easiest parking close to the Cafe!
If you ain't been here yet, you're truly missing out!!

Been wanting to try Frost for a while as it's only 30 minutes from the lake house...It was fantastic! Staff is super friendly, helpful and quick! The portions are huge and the food is fantastic! This will be a "must go" for when we visit nearby Culpepper for years to come!! Best biscuits and sausage gravy I have had in a long time!

Food is very good. Generous portions. Staff is very friendly and attentive. There are not enough staff working tables / booths. Per Virginia health code, the cook should cover his hair.

Enjoyed the food and the service . Probably stop in again. Still a great place for diner food and good service. The staff is wonderful.
