Frost Cafe

Great service and delicious food, my breakfast was exactly what I was wanting, I had the country fried steak with a biscuit and gravy. Yum!

Use to eat breakfast here every morning when I worked in Culpeper. Now when I visit I make a point to stop in and say hello to old friends.
A very good menu of down home style cooking. Needless to say the food is excellent or I wouldn't have eaten breakfast there for so many years.

I so want to give this place a better review! The kitsch is there, but the food quality and service are not. I wrote this review after visiting twice and having the same experience. I know all about how difficult it is to hire etc etc, but a friendly word or two seems in order. Disappointing.

This cute, charming old-style soda fountain diner is great for an affordable meal. You absolutely can't go wrong with ordering breakfast anytime. The grill is right there in front of you if you sit at the counter or they have several booths. They do accept cards now if you don't have cash. I think there may be a fee if you use card vs. cash, but the prices are already so cheap it isn't going to break the bank!

We walked in 5 minutes before they closed and they still (cheerfully!) decided to stop whatever they were doing to make us food

I wonder if they remember me walking into the door because my girlfriend is so pretty. Fantastic corn beef hash, and I'm certain the biscuits came from someone's granny.

In April 2021, our "Girl's Crew" were traveling home from New Orleans Girls Trip and wanted breakfast. We have a tendency to try new places and leave tips accordingly... We sat at the bar and whoever the waitress was, she was PERFECT. She blended in on our "girls" conversations. WHEN I SAY THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS, GOOD DOWN HOME COOKING!!!! Now, I'm the picky eater and I was very impressed!!! We're planning a couples trip to travel North and plan to stop by to eat breakfast again.

Have been going here a few years now and I see pretty much the same faces every time. I can honestly say that I really appreciate the smiles and the warm welcomes as well as the lets get down to business and get your order ready. Nothing ever takes too long here and everything I have tried on the menu has always been great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a little local diner to visit for great home cooking.
