Not at all what I expected from their website. Older place, sort of dingy with well worn tables and chairs. The locals think well of the place as it always seems to be busy. They did well with eggs over easy, hash browns and sausage but it is hard to mess that up. The sausage was really good though, not the frozen Jimmy Dean you usually get. All in all, a good place for breakfast and a cup of coffee.

The quality of the meal was good—however, the venue seemed a little disorganized. The menu displayed above the cash register pointed in different directions, and the coffee selections were positioned behind the regular menu, so it was difficult as a newcomer to see what was available. Also, I was given a to-go bag for my dine-in experience. The meal's quality itself was good, and I enjoyed having a casual, not-overcrowded place to enjoy lunch.

Quick and cute little diner/coffee shop. Fairly priced and quick service (coffee).
I haven't eaten the food, but what I saw on tables, it looked of average quality.
I'm only going to rate my experience though!
Coffee 3/5, service 4/5, aesthetics...it reminded me of a super quiet and quaint mom and pop diner and I LOVE those feels 5/5.

Noticed that everyone around me got there food and told the waiter if my food was coming and 15 minutes passed and still no food. All I ordered was a sandwich and after 30 minutes I still didn’t receive my order. Very disappointed with the customer service.

I stopped in on a Sunday morning, which is probably the busiest time imaginable. Espresso pretty good and the breakfast sandwich (ham-egg-cheese) was pretty much the standard: not bad but not exciting. Service was polite and considering the huge amount traffic in the kitchen, pretty timely.

Love the American Breakfast menu item. Quick and delicious. Good coffee. Easy in and easy out for my morning drop-ins en route to work all week long. Next time I'm working I'm Alexandria, looking forward to stopping in again!

I have stopped here on weekends for coffee and breakfast a couple times and was pleased with the food. Today I went for the shepherd pie, big disappointment. Dry meat and potatoes; shriveled, over cooked vegetables. Tasted like it had been over heated in the microwave. No red wine available. My cooking is not good but is much better than what I got and paid for at this establishment. Doubt I will be back for anything to eat.

My family and I are visiting from Newport News Virginia and we saw Extra Perks Cofee Shop on our goggle map for breakfast. The atmosphere was so quaint and beautiful. The staff friendly and nice. We had a variety of breakfast from pancakes to waffles to the three egg omelet..the food and fruit was delicious and fresh..I had the opportunity to try a green tea latte...and OMG!!!!!...Absolutely fantastic!..I let my Aunt and my sister try it and they ended up getting one as well. And the fact that Extra Perks is right across the street from the hotel where we're staying...FANTASTIC
Thanks Extra Perks for a fantastic breakfast experience..

Sandwiches are pretty good. Staff is friendly and competent. Takes about ten to fifteen minutes to get your sandwich if you do the quick to go option. They also offer table service. Also have a good selection of packaged grocery store type goods.

Went in here sight unseen hoping for a decent late lunch. It didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed my spinach quiche and pea & ham soup. Don’t be put off by the decor. The food is good.
