Amazing. Hands down best meal I’ve had in Middlebury in a long time. Great venue with river views, menu to die for, and wine list that’ll please any taste. Words can’t describe how good the Parmesan and Leek ravioli was.

Delicious food and cocktails, friendly and professional staff, and wonderful ambiance. You can't beat the riverside patio in summertime! What's more, Caroline and Matt place a major emphasis on giving back to the community and collaborating with other small businesses in Vermont. The Arcadian/Haymaker is a business I'm proud to support.

Great food and wonderful view of the river.

I have eaten at The Arcadian on a couple of occasions, and have enjoyed take-out meals during the pandemic. The food is exceptionally good -- the cinnamon bread pudding is unbelievable -- although it is certainly not inexpensive. Its alter-ego, the Haymaker Bun Company is at least equally sensational in its baking, raised doughs in particular. Yum!

Very bready pastries, somewhat lacking in flavor. A surprising lack of sticky buns. Good ideas, but low energy in execution and service.

Discovered this place on a business trip. Amazing food and the staff (Shout out to Kate the hostess, you're a doll and so sweet) was so attentive and friendly. 100% recommended. If you find yourself in Middlebury this is a must stop.

i like the place, the ambience and the vibe. did not care for the haughty host who greeted us without a big "good evening" and a smile just alot of huffy attitude particularly when we were presented with the worst table in the restaurant that we didn't want to sit at. let me hasten to add that i secured the reservation many weeks ago and probably deserved better. 86 that location guys, it's awful.
nice choice of entrees etc.though small and overpriced....grade B+ good though i could have dispensed with the amuse bouche and gone for some great warm foccacia bread or a tasty roll of some kind before dinner. nice wine list presented by the "generally" amiable and professional server.
is it a "to die for italian" in a "to die for place"?......not quite but i will pay it another visit.
a nice preamble to TOSCA at the THT. now that delivered!

This is a special bakery with delicious buns and sandwiches and great espresso. Don’t miss it.
