An absolutly delightful experiance. Small and cozy with a wonderful atmosphere. A teahouse with a true asian slant. The teas we chose were fabulous and prepaired purfectly, Stay and enjoy the atmosphere or served to go.
I strongly urge anyone to go to Stone Leaf Teahouse. I’ve been to dozens of tea houses in the United States and abroad and Stone Leaf is a gem for several reasons.
1. The quality of their tea is excellent. 2. They are welcoming and supportive to brand new tea drinkers, like my mother who joined me. They answered questions and never made her feel uncomfortable or out of place. 3. They’re welcoming to ardent tea enthusiasts. I drink tea daily, travel around the globe on tea vacations and seek out quality specialty tea where ever I go. Stone Leaf is a rare find indeed! 4. Diverse menu and staff tea knowledge was excellent. It’s not only rare to find a wide selection of Green, Oolong, White, Black and Pu’er teas, but they have a staff that can discuss then we’ll and with good authority. 5. Tea education options… the menu had many tastings and pairings allowing folks to learn and compare teas, tea types and tea terroir 6. In house service, Togo service and teas sold by the gram all available as well as a number of iced teas, tisanes, and scented teas. I find it impossible that someone who enjoys tea couldn’t find several choices to their liking 7. Large selection of tea ware for Gongfu Cha, Senchado, western style brewing along with cups, tea pets, tea tables, fairness pitchers, strainers, matcha ware, ect…
A wunderkammer of intriguing teas, intricate but humble ritual, minute pots and cups. The tea service begs a slow considered approach. Bring a book or a journal, this is a place of reflection. The only thing missing is a koto player in the corner and a gurgling mist shrouded stream. Highest recommendation.
Super nice little tea shop!! Very nice people working there, who knew a lot about the tea being served. I tried poo-er tea for the first time, which was nice! The upstairs area is super nice and relaxing
Middlebury is so incredibly lucky to have Stone Leaf. This is not only the best tea house in Vermont, but arguably the best on the entire east coast. The staff is so kind and the tea is seriously world-class. I would recommend doing the tasting, and having one of the staff chose at least one for you - never looked back once.
A fantastic tea shop with an extensive selection of teas and table service. When they have it their baked sweets are really good as well. And a chocolate pairing is always nice. They also have a good selection of tea brewing and drinking equipment, teapots and cups.

One of my favorite places to study, to relax, and to try different teas. I look forward to my summers here just so I can visit this place

Amazing options! The tea is wonderful. Only outdoor seating right now but there's a space heater and the morning sun hits the spot.

Peaceful and tucked away, lots of options, outdoor seating, eclectic selection
