The east west buns are to die for.
I did a breakfast sandwich that was disappointing. The bun was cold and they didn't cook the egg as I asked.
The service is absolutely lovely. The guy shouting out coffee orders was especially upbeat and kind.

This is most likely my favorite spot in Middlebury, beautiful seating by the river, wonderful homestyle and ‘modern-nordic’ atmosphere, with simply delicious buns!

loved this cute little bakery/restaurant. It’s situated by the river and they have a really nice patio and a nice indoor area too with big windows of the river view. The food was delicious and well made. I got a kale salad and a mushroom melt sandwich. A must stop when driving through this area for brunch or lunch.

Delicious homemade food. Love the lunch offerings, the double smashburger might be the best burger in Vermont! Always hard to pick from the menu because all of it sounds so good! Very friendly staff that work really hard. Great ambiance and beautiful deck seating overlooking the otter creek when the weather is nice.

Such a great spot for a leisurely breakfast or lunch or quick stop for delicious coffee & buns! Beautiful riverside patio with outdoor seating. All of the baked goods (savory or sweet) are excellent and the staff are super nice. We love Haymaker!

Excellent flavor pairings, using fresh and local ingredients in their pastries as well as lunch menu items. It's my go to spot at 8am when I need a good bun and cup of coffee! I have never had a bad item from Haymaker. And the option for made to order cakes or the frozen buns on their web site is a life saver when you need to celebrate in a pinch.

Such an incredible spot. The coffee is always perfect and their savory buns are so tasty. Thoughtful and delicious lunch specials with local ingredients—it’s such a treat to eat here. Great ambience and the service is excellent- this spot is a gathering place for the community and it’s always a cozy and yummy spot to grab a bite.

Always love the food here. Great menu items, I anxiously await the brunch menu on Saturdays. I’ve learned to order pastries ahead of my arrival on the toast app so I can try all the yummy food before they sell out. Friendly staff, cool, cozy, interior. Great views for dine in.a total treat!

Haymaker is the best bakery there is!! The buns are absolutely amazing and the people are the nicest. If I lived in Middlebury I would be here everyday!
