Was pleasantly surprised. Not an overly large menu, but everything we had was good. Will definitely try it again

Finally got to stop and eat lunch in the house where they filmed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This has always been on my list of places to visit firsthand. The house itself is comfortable and inviting, the bar area is fun, and the outdoor seating is great on nice days. The staff were all very friendly and encouraged us to take a look around. You are allowed upstairs and in some areas downstairs as well. We ordered our food and looked around the house while we waited. The food came in a reasonable time and was very good. I would recommend stopping in and enjoying a meal here.

Not to sound rude but they completely gutted the original Texas chainsaw massacre house they packed tables inside so you can barley walk around to leave the food is sub par at best half the menu is gone I paid 30 bucks for a steak that was over cooked appetizers with hair in them this place used to be extremely pleasant to walk in and now it feels more like a bar no longer is a reastraunt I'd give half a star if I could and $11.00 for one Carnitas taco
OVERLY PRICED!!!!!!!

The place was fine the way it was. Lost a lot of customers changing it into something Austin. That was our Cheers bar. Now everyone I know has quit going. Ruined the Bar menu. Sucks.

You wouldn’t know it was Texas Chainsaw Massacre unless you looked it up. The food was good but very limited selection between 2 and 4.

Waitress didn’t know the menu, smashed burger was not as listed on menu, Texas BLT was fair. Over priced food was so so.

I'm a big fan of Texas Chainsaw Massacre >:) This is the original 1974 house, moved from Round Rock to Kingsland. Originally a home that's now been transformed into a really nice restaurant with lots to choose from on the menu. It's grown sense I was last there about 4 years ago, has both indoor and out door seating, and a big bar to kick back at.
Ow yeah, for the fans, don't forgot to visit Grandpa Sawyer while your there.

Great service, really nice staff and wonderful food in a beautiful old restored house. What else could you want?

While we didn't explore the noted house of the Texas Chain Saw Massacre, we did enjoy a great meal! I had the Reuben and it was piled high with tasty pastrami and sauerkraut. My wife had the Amtrak omelet and was very pleased. This is definitely a place that we will visit again!
