This was one of the highlights of a recent vacation. Getting to go inside the house where The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was filmed was surreal. On top of that, the food and service were top notch.

A must visit for horror enthusiast. Be prepared to wait but plenty to see. Hostess was very accommodating. Food was good. It was hard to catch our waitress for anything.

Came to the Cafe because we have recently moved to Texas and love the massacre movies. Food was really good and out waitress was the best. Everyone was really nice. Love the merch!

Good burgers and down home food. Service can be slow due to a staffing shortage (summer 2022) as they state right up front on a sign but it really wasn't too bad a delay. There is TCSM memorabilia here but it's not worth visiting just for that.

Tons of history here. Also great food. Eggs Florentino were to die for.
Also the house is the one they filmed Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Butterflies all over the garden.

If you are a Chainsaw Massacre fan. This is a must stop, they let you lool around the "Sawyer" house, its absolutely killer! Great food also!!

The house is pretty but it’s NOT decorated or anything related to the chainsaw massacre. While we were there 3 groups asked about it and they said the new owner took it all down..what’s the point of it being the chainsaw massacre shooting site if you don’t even acknowledge that anywhere. It was quite disappointing. And very pricey for the size of the portions you get, and the food for several people on our table was cold. I would not recommend it

When we came here it was on Monday so they were closed, but we came to at least get pics of the front. If you don't know the houses history, this is THE Sawyer house from the Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre!

We got out just expecting to get pics/video of the outside when the owner Drew came out and asked if we'd like him to move his car (him and his brother were working on projects inside) I told him about us just coming to at least take pics outside when to my surprise he waved us on up and told us to come in! He took time out of his busy day to give us two horror nerds from North Carolina a private tour of the house/restaurant!

It was a completely surreal moment standing in the same places the cast and crew of TCM stood. The house is so beautiful with an awesome history and we are so grateful Drew was kind enough to let us come in. We hope to come back some day to actually eat here as we've heard the food is amazing here.

Even if you're not a TCM fan this place is a must stop if you're near by. Not only is this house here but across the street there is the beautifully rustic Antlers Inn. The area in general looks like an old Louisiana town in the middle of Texas and it's just awesome looking.

Thank you again Drew for your hospitality and we hope to see you again in the future!

(Also to other TCM fans I wouldn't take our situation of the impromptu private tour a guarantee that'll happen for you. I don't want people showing up on their closed days expecting to get a tour you might not get. We got lucky Drew was there and was kind enough to invite us in. We literally showed up there unannounced and just expected to see the outside. I highly suggest seeing it during their business hours, I mean how else are you gonna to eat in the same room the TCM dinner scene happened unless it is open lol)

The Grand Central Cafe is a house. But it's the house that was in the movie The Texas Chainsaws Masker part one. Back in the 70 or so. I was just a teenager than. This company also the owners of the Antlers Hotel and Trains that are like a hotel rooms cabins to.

My husband and I dine here often and have always had a pleasant experience until last night (12/31/22). The waitress was very unpleasant, the food was not prepared as requested and the meat was grey. We had to get up to get our own refills. We will only go back during the daytime hours as that is when the waitress and food is much better. New owners needs to take note how their evening waitress and food preparation declines greatly.
