Driving up to the Grand Central Cafe you will notice two things immediately. First is how welcoming the whole set up is, including the surrounding Antlers Inn and Rail Car hotel rooms. Second thing you notice is that this place is the house from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, it has been disassembled and relocated to where it currently resides. Once inside you are met by the warmest staff, they honestly treat you like family. We were seated in the front room to the left with the three large windows. The structure remained original and the decor was of a similar time as well. Everything on the menu looks delicious, but we were there for breakfast/brunch. The food is family portion style where you can share or eat it all yourself and go home with a food baby. I ordered the chicken fried steak, with breakfast potatoes and a pancake on the side as I had noticed the delicious looking pancakes on a neighboring table. The food came out and not only looked delicious but smelled fantastic. I enjoyed 3 cups of fresh coffee with my meal while my buddy Jim finished off 2 of the best looking (and tasting) bloody marys ive seen. This place is a solid 10. If you are in Kingsland, you must stop by for a bite.

Good atmosphere, the remodeling was done tastefully. Management seems to have the right mindset, staff could use some work to get where they are envisioning. Lots of opportunities

Really cute with a very clean cute restroom. The wings and pork were delicious! The bread was soft and delicious, forgot to take picture.

Came here to eat and also to explore the original house they filmed the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in. The food was awesome, the restaurant was nice, and the waiter (I think his name was Steve) was so incredibly personable, humorous, and friendly. The place was such a contrast from the creepy origins of the house! They also had a drink called "Leatherface Lemonade" which was a nice touch to an otherwise unsuspected nice cafe.
Upstairs they have a lounge, and a wall of photos from the movie. Such a neat thing to check out if you're a movie buff or even if you just like good food!

Great atmosphere and the waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. I usually do not go out for drinks but what I witnessed my first time, I am surely to visit again.

Great place to have breakfast. This place is pretty historical for Horror fans. This house was used in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie from 1974. There is a first floor and second floor. Two bathrooms on the first floor and another bathroom on the second floor.

Love this place, restaurant 5 star food & the cottages is were we stay are perfect. Little paths to walk along, boat dock. It is better priced before April, if you just want to get away this will do it. The downside restuarant closes early on Sunday & closed all day on Monday. The kitchen has enough space to make a meal for 2. Daughter & granddaughter live an hour away just joined us for the afternoon.

Very nice restaurant stuck smack dab I'm the center of Kingsland. I went for lunch and had the shrimp tacos, which were very scrumptious. I look forward to tryimg something from the dinner menu.

Awesome place. Obviously known for being The Texas Chainsaw Massacre house but the place is more than that. Great food and atmosphere. Would definitely go again!
