Worst pasta I have ever eaten, I ordered linguine with clams in white wine garlic sauce. I got overcooked tasteless pasta drizzled in olive oil… no white wine or garlic or butter or anything else. I have no idea why anyone would go to this restaurant more than once. And I know the owner will say sorry and try us again but seriously I hope the owner just walks around and looks at the pasta, order a dish and don’t tell the chef he is cooking for you and see how it turns out. Unbelievably terrible pasta, the worst ever.

Dropped in unannounced with my wife and daughters loud, hungry and sweaty from walking around downtown and my 3 Year old granddaughter riding on my shoulders. We looked like we were one paycheck away from being homeless and they treated us like we were their best customers. Food was great, artfully presented and they did not mind my granddaughter’s antics at all. They just gave me a knowing nod without judging me when the only thing I ordered for brunch was “2 fingers of Jameson…my fingers, not those skinny ones.” 10 out of 10. Will make the 2 hour drive again.

This was our second experience dining with iL Modo. We were on time for our 6:30pm reservation and waited over 25 mins for our server to greet us and take a drink order. We had to ask other severs to fill our water glasses and also another round of drinks. By this time I was already annoyed with this dinner. We ordered the shrimp appetizer followed by the spaghetti and porterhouse steak with a side of potatoes. Our main course did not come until after 8pm. The steak was cooked perfectly, however the potatoes were a total waste. They were over cooked, dry and flavorless. As this was a Valentine's dinner I tried to make this a positive experience but the service was so poor it was unbearable. I ordered dessert, tiramisu, as this is my all time favorites. They were out of tiramisu. I asked for one more glass of wine, however another 15-20 minutes later I was as totally over the wine and iL Modo. I canceled the wine and asked for the check. Our tab was just shy of $350. We left with a below average experience for the money spent.

7 clams in the linguini. Burned toast. Took almost an hour to serve a group of 12 because of salmon and steak. Don't waste your time.

We ate dinner here on a Sunday evening and were the only guests here for the 530 reservations. The place quickly filled after that. There was no availability on Friday and Saturday because it’s a new hot spot.
The atmosphere is very close and intimate. Live plants, good music, natural light, city views, and a homemade pasta room on site.
The food was delicious and all plates ordered were shareable. Would absolutely recommend this order of plates.
We had:
- meatballs for appetizer
- 2 pasta dishes (Bucetini and Spaghetti)
- Filet Mignon
Would 10/10 come back. Only gave 4/5 stars due to the price of the entrees for amount of food you get. Again, everything was delicious.

We have now been to il Modo three or four times (when we find ourselves in Ft. Worth) and are continually surprised by the depth and quality of the food and service.
It is beyond understanding how this restaurant doesn't have a 4.7 or 4.8 rating, although it does appear that some of the critical reviews focus on things like the inability to split checks or random COVID related BS.
As someone who grew up in NYC (and had traveled extensively through Italy) please believe me when I say that il Modo can stand shoulder to shoulder with fine restaurants anywhere!
Lastly, in today's economy, il Modo's pricing is very much on the low side for the quality (and quantity) of food served.

I know this restaurant specializes in Italian food, but they have the BEST burger I have ever eaten and you can't go wrong with fresh garlic bread. The service and food are amazing, and this is easily somewhere I could eat every day!

New Year's Eve 2021. Fantastic way to close out 2021, a night out. Appetizer was a bread, mozzarella, and a fruit spread, it was wonderful. Our wait staff was EXALLENT! And then the main course arrived. Had the chief's special, stake and lobster. Ordered the stake medium rare, it was still cold on the inside and so tuff that I thought I was going to bend the knife cutting it. The lobster was like rubber. Now, had this been a $40 plate, I would have expected that. But this was a $106 plate and it left the kitchen like that. I have honestly had better stake at a road house.

Ethan and Lexeigh were great! True professionals. The dinning room was beautiful and the chairs were comfy.
The kale salad and risotto were tasty but the salmon was disappointing (other reviewers agree). I guess we shouldn't have dared to order fish in North Texas on a Monday.
The huge bowl of gelato was a happy ending for all to share.
Overall: pricey so-so food, nice place to eat, friendly staff.
