We were 5 minutes late to our reservation and had to wait 30 minutes before being seated, the bathroom had no toilet paper and a mess in the first stall, then waited an hour for food and had to ask for our bread while others had their appetizers. The waiter did not even try to do his job and my boyfriend had to go to the bar to get his attention to pay so we could finally leave. Bad management and terrible service especially for what you pay for. Meatballs were the highlight and they were definitely frozen. Very disappointed.

I was looking forward to trying Il Modo after reading good reviews, and then I heard they were doing a Christmas seafood lunch special and thought that was a great time to go. I called several days in advance and asked about the special, made reservations, confirmed my reservations only to arrive on Christmas to be told it was offered on Christmas Eve only. Today is their normal menu only and not at all what I had planned for our Christmas meal. We opted to stay, not knowing what else would be open, and really had a sub par experience. There was no host, we waited awkwardly for a while to be seated. Waited quite a while before getting water or seeing our waitress, and though we both ordered mimosas my husband's took approximately 8 minutes longer than mine to arrive. Our waitress was nice but had no concern that we were told incorrect info when making our reservation. If it was service only I would be more understanding as I'm sure they were short staffed on Christmas, but the food was very mediocre at best. My water was empty for the last third of my meal and I tried to get the attention of our waitress who was carrying the water caraffe to no avail, by the time she came I just asked for the check. I am beyond surprised this restaurant has such good reviews. What was supposed to be a delicious and special Christmas seafood dining experience was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a while. Normally I would have asked to speak with a manager but honestly I didn't think anyone there could spare the time so we just left.

Zero consistency, aside from gummy pasta. First visit a few months ago was fantastic, I live/work/play in the heart of the Fort and I thought I found my place. I went back multiple times for brunch, lunch, and dinner. I brought friends, family, and coworkers. Everyone had the same opinion. Overpriced for the lack of quality. I’d rather wait for the new Italian place around the corner. Would not recommend again.

Such an incredible experience all around. Ambiance and decor are on point and the staff is so kind and professional - totally prepared to guide guests through the menu, answer questions and share details and recommendations. This was my first time ever in life having fresh pasta, and I was absolutely blown away! The quality of all the ingredients can be tasted in every bite of every dish. As if the dining experience doesn’t make you feel spoiled enough, I encountered the softest toilet paper here as well, which just goes to show the attention to detail every step of the way.

This is pretty good! Very classy restaurant, reminded me of farm to table fine dining. I also really loved the ambiance, the chairs were extremely comfortable, which, I don’t think people truly realize how important that is when you go out to eat 😄 I enjoyed the drinks and the bread. They were also able to make my dish with an additional protein they were offering that night in another dish, so I was happy about that. Only thing I would add to their menu is salad. And not the one that you have to cut with a knife and fork, just a regular chopped salad. But big ups to Chef in the back, I saw him working hard and doing his thing!! ✊🏽 There is a price tag here, but, I believe it is worth it, and I would definitely come back!

Maybe lunch is just not the best time to go, but to say unimpressed is an understatement. The portions were small and the taste was actually not there for me either. I give 2 stars because at least they make their own pasta. But I wouldn’t necessarily classify the restaurant as Italian. Especially with only 3 pasta choices on the menu. Also expensive.

Meravigliosa!! With every bite I took, I knew the Rigatoni was a sophisticated dish prepared with fresh ingredients. You can actually see them make make their pasta fresh daily. Another fun fact I learned, Chef Greg learned many of his techniques from watching his native Italian grandmother prepare meals!
I received beyond amazing service from the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. 11/10.
Best place to eat in Downtown Fort Worth!

The menu is intriguing with each dish described with all its special ingredients. It’s hard to choose. The Cicchettti antipasti was so enjoyable while we awaited our delicious entrees. The staff was pleasnt and attentive. A great meal! Il Modo definitely lives up to its award-winning reputation. Ask to take a peek at the kitchen where they prepare their fresh pasta. Great experience.

Meatballs were a bit dry and dense and even though the sauce says "spicy" there wasn't any heat detectable. Bucatini was nicely cooked but again the sauce and and guanciale weren't anything to write home about. Bartender was nice and attentive.

Started out being seated in a room where it looked like they were rolling silverware in large industrial plastic trays right next to our table. Ok, odd, but doable.
Ordered 3 appetizers. Meatballs excellent. Octopus bland and sparse. Fried calamari was sparse and appeared it could have been out of a frozen bag.
Service was bad. Wait staff didn't bring utensils to serve apps or sides. Nowhere to be found for a salt shaker after food delivery.
Lobster risotto. I hope you like risotto bc there were 2 microscopic pieces of lobster. Terrible dish. Left hungry after eating. Brussel sprouts side drenched in oil and just gross. Wife did like her salmon dish but it was a very small portion.
Kids menu was great. I had to eat what was left of my kids spaghetti so I wasn't starving.
All of this with a $285 bill including tip for 4 people (2 kids) and no dessert. Probably the most regretful dinner I've ever had. Hard pass.
