Had reservations for 1830 hrs and there was only a few patrons when the wife & I arrived (our 5 yr anniversary). We were seated immediately and our server was Jay (probably didnt spell that right), anyway, she rolled out the red carpet for us. I had the roasted chicken with potato leek puree, the wife had the risoto. For appetizers, we had the calamari and meatballs. For dessert, we had the tiramisu (absolutely delicious) which was comp'd. And numerous drinks of course. Overall, we both had a great time out. Definitely would recommend to anyone for fine dinning.
il Modo boasts a high-end aesthetic. Unfortunately, the tastes don't match the décor. For the prices you pay, you'd do much better to head to Grace or Little Red Wasp right next door. If you're not tied to downtown, try Piatello in Southwest Fort Worth--maybe the best Italian in the Metroplex.
Meh. It's just fine. The salad and soup were pretty good, but the pizza and bucatini were very bland. Service was ok. Decor was modern. Also quite expensive for what you get.
I had a wonderful time in Chef Gabriel's pasta making class at Il Modo. He was patient and good humored and taught me to make some delicious pasta that my whole family loved.
The food was good, but I didn't feel it was good enough to justify the price. If their prices came down a little, I would be happy to visit again. As of now, it would only be worth it for a special occasion.
I was charged a “missed reservation” fee in mid-February. I didn’t miss the reservation. I had dinner as scheduled. I have been trying for two months to get a refund with no luck. My repeated calls have not been retuned.

Great variety of Italian Dishes will go again. Downtown Ft. Fort location in a great spot.
