We were initially surprised about the lack of warmth from the staff - we expected to feel a little southern charm, but the hostess and waitstaff were a little aloof.

Aside from the shrimp, which were missing seasoning and flavor, our brunch was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect.

One of the more famous and popular restaurants in Charleston did not disappoint. Food is prepared well and with quality ingredients. Had lunch and dinner at this location and both were delicious and great service with a lively ambiance. Chicken wings appetizer was a generous portion (8) and crispy and very flavorful. Shrimp and grits was one of the best I’ve tried. The sweet potato hash was tasty too but was just OK. Definitely make reservations as there’s usually a long wait to get a table.

If you’re visiting Charleston and you’re looking for a staple souther restaurant, look no further than Husk. Serving authentic, locally sourced dishes that are true to Charleston’s heritage, Husk definitely delivers the souther charm desired by locals and visitors. Service is excellent as well!

Incredible dinner, arguably the best restaurant in Charleston. A must hit ever time I come back to the city. Tanya, our waitress, was extremely knowledgeable on all the plates listed on the menu, couldn’t thank her enough. Make sure to book in advance!

We ate dinner at Husk on July 28th. The food is very fresh and the menu changes daily. They have a few very unique craft cocktails. I ordered a Noisy Cricket. It has vodka, with Curacao, Sherry, watermelon and activated Charcoal. I wanted to try something different and I loved this drink. We ordered the cornbread for an appetizer and it was so good. For dinner, I had the Keegan-Filion Porchetta. All I can say is wow, it was so delicious. My girlfriend loved the beef with Chimichurri. After dinner, we walked over to the bar that was in another building. It is a really cool bar. I had an Old Fashion that was fabulous and my girlfriend had a glass of Pinot Bianco. We had our drinks in their courtyard and it was a beautiful evening to be outside. Husk is a fantastic restaurant and if you are in Charleston, you should eat here.

Lived up to all expectations. We tried the local cheeses, ham, grilled sourdough, Husk made sauces and pickles with the cornbread for starters. Cheeses were unique, ham was the most flavorful I’ve ever enjoyed. Apricot jalapeño sauce and dijonaise were deliciously balanced.

Our dinner entrees were the catfish, perfectly fried over superbly fresh veggies and the best Luisiana hot sauce. The duck leg was my husbands favourite, rich and moist, with a light sauce and veggies.

Dessert was our favourite though, Methodical coffee with a brownie and coffee ice cream.

Our server Caleb was kind, knowledgeable, passionate and helpful.

Highly recommend a reservation, as our walk-up at 5:45 resulted in a reservation at 9:30.

As a man with a 300 year old southern heritage, I can say unequivocally that the authenticity of Husk cuisine is simply fabulous.

During my February 2022 visit to Charleston, I dined upon a delicious chicken thigh appetizer and a wonderfully prepared fried catfish over rice, with tomatoes and butter beans. The fish was cooked -perfectly- and wrapped in an excellent cornbread batter; the veggies were a taste of home that truly warmed my spirits!

The house's take on the old fashioned is divine, with many other cocktail selections and a well curated wine list. All around, I wanted to try them all. But alas did settle with an ol' razzle dazzle, an Angel Oak Malbec and a winter citrus tart for dessert. The tart. Quite simply. Was bangin'.

Mesmerized and delighted. Do make a reservation, and enjoy.

Food was exceptional! The duck was cooked to perfection! The sauce and the vegetables were really well seasoned and cooked just right! The chicken was moist and tender! Dragon Punch is a must!!

Service was great. Smoked, hot butter oysters were amazing. Dinner was unique and delicious. The drink selection was also very good. My wife got the Lady Bug (picture) which she said was light and refreshing.

I go back again when in Charleston.
