We went out as a family and had a wonderful experience. We loved our waitress. She was phenomenal. Her suggestions were on point, and she was really accommodating to my picky eater. I've never tried rabbit, but I gave it a chance, and it was delicious and filling. My husband enjoyed his steak, as well. My child chided me about eating a rabbit, but then tired it. She decided she'd order it next time. Lol. We put away our phones, took our time eating, and enjoyed a little people watching. The pace of the restaurant is perfect. You don't feel pressure to eat and run.

Delicious meal at Husk. Although I have to say that Vilda, our waitress made our meal. She was absolutely wonderful, so attentive, knowledgeable about the dishes and so incredibly professional! I did feel that some of the dishes were “trying hard” to make it different but it didn’t affect anything because it was very tasteful. Like I said, the service was everything with Vilda. The rigatoni dish was the best dish and so were the dumplings (if you like spicy)- scrumptious! The banana pudding (I know you’re thinking - banana pudding? I thought the same thing) but please get it, it was delectable. Amazing! The cheesecake (and I don’t like cheesecake) was incredible as well. All of their ingredients are so fresh! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I recommend this restaurant but make a reservation!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was at Husk. Our waiter was so fun. The staff was so accommodating to my mom who can’t do stairs. The sommelier was so knowledgeable and helpful with our wine selection. And that was all before the exceptional meal. We tried many apps, several entrees and desserts. I can’t wait to return next time we are in Charleston!

🌙🌴Such a novel take on southern food, if James Beard married your grandmother… we loved the meal…found the prices very reasonable, the atmosphere clean, authentic and not fussy at all.
We will be back here soon as you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Amazingly delicious. Had chicken and waffles while my wife had the burger. Both were wonderful. We also had the financier for dessert. Delicious. Cocktails were great too!

Atmosphere++ Rustic, clean, and appropriate for style of food. Service +++ Everyone was super nice and accommodating. It was a rainy day, and original seating on the patio was getting wet. They moved us to another seat with no issues. Food ++ You know the food is going to be good, the reputation proceeds the dining experience. I fully respect the changing menu following what is available and fresh. Our meal was in fact very good. With those type of menus though, especially when being an out of town visitor, you are handcuffed to only experience that narrow selection. This is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars, and I would have to agree I'm being stingy. I had porchetta and my wife had the filet, they were both very good. I was just really looking forward to some nice sea food. The corn bread was amazing, and the scallop crudo was delicious. A great balance of spice with the sweetness of the scallops. Definitely looking forward to returning.

Menu changes frequently depending on what is in season or available from their local providers. The brunch/lunch menu is not extensive but has something for everyone, and is all very tasty with good portions. The type of place I would want to visit multiple times to try something new but knowing it will be good! Would recommend booking, especially for dinner. The historic house has a modernised interior, but it fits the style and doesn't seem out of place.

Beautiful place! We were treated so wonderfully on our date to celebrate our anniversary ❤️ the food was delicious and our waiter was so polite and kind (as was everyone we interacted with!). He recommended both getting a first and supper meal and he was right, the meals are well put together but are not gigantic plates. Everything being smaller made it more fun to share and pinch from each other though!! Overall, our favorite restaurant experience in Charleston, thank you!

Based on previous reviews, I had high expectations. Our server Nina was lovely. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the food. The lettuce wraps were mediocre at best. The pork was cold and overly fatty which made it difficult to chew. My friend and I both ordered the fried catfish which was bland. Maybe an aioli would help? The dirty rice that came with it was flavorful enough as was the collared greens, however they were cold too. The skillet corn bread was good, not great. The bread pudding was also COLD! So disappointing..maybe, it was an off night?? Sadly, if I return to Charleston I likely would not come back.

I try to go at least once whenever I visit Charleston.
The Good: everything is to die for and I’ve never had anything here I didn’t like. Most recently, we came for brunch and shared a bunch of items including: biscuits and gravy, fried okra, side of grits, a watermelon/basil toast. The grits were also hands down the best grits I’ve ever had in my life (and I was raised in the South so I’ve had plenty). They’re a simple brunch side but come in a little Le Cruset pot - just get them! Their brunch cocktails are on point and they have an iced tea cocktail that tastes just like one but it’s STRONG - my type of drink!
The Meh: I really love the bar they have in the building next door but it opens at 5pm and wasn’t open when we were there for brunch. Also, expect a little bit of a wait even if you have a Resy. They’re CONSTANTLY busy so it’s probably hard logistically.
The Bad: nothing!!
Husk may be known as a tourist trap but this is one I don’t mind frequenting. They’re amazing. Highly recommend reservations AND there’s a parking garage across the street so getting there should be no problem.
