The location is amazing and the food is top tier. Randy our server was incredible and very informative. We went as a family with two children ages 9 and 12 who are accustomed to eating at high end restaurants . Three of us had the steak and my wife had the chicken. We got biscuits for the table which is a must and the grits which were the best I had on our vacation. I had a Dragoons Punch which was like nothing I have ever tasted and was very delicious. This restaurant is a must if you are in Charleston.

Food exceeded the hype!!! Had dinner at the bar every night the last weekend I was in town. First come first serve, and If you can find space at the bar you can order off the entire menu. Our Bartender was super knowledgeable and gave us great food and bev recs. Off menu cheeseburger and potato wedges is the only way to end your night in Charleston.

One of my favorite restaurants ever. Be aware, if you're making a reservation don't expect to get in for a month. Having said that once you are able to go literally everything here is great. Everything is fresh and the menu changes all the time, but I think they always have a burger at least, which is great because it's incredible. They have bacon in the meat grind and it's delicious! Definitely pricy but worth it all the way. The dining room feels sophisticated but it's too much and they have a small patio with a few seats. There is also a parking garage almost right across the street which is crazy convenient, especially considering it's downtown Charleston. Can't wait to come back!

Husk is always amazing, welcoming, and never disappoints. The servers are incredibly knowledgeable, their chefs are beyond talented, and the overall vibe just can't be beat. I love it for brunch and dinner!

We couldn't get a reservation in the dining room but we arrived when they opened early and scored seats at the bar, don't worry they serve the full menu. It's not a big bar so I'd suggest getting there on the earlier side. The bartender was attentive and the patrons were friendly. I tried the crispy rice salad, Nashville hot lamb, went off menu for the smash burger, and a couple of cocktails. Everything was tasty but the lamb soared above the rest. If the cocktails I tried the punch was my favorite. Husk is worth a visit.
One thing to take note of. The bar is in a little building to the right of the restaurant. You'll see a courtyard ahead and the building to the right. The entrance is to the left around the railing in the photo.

First the restaurant. The service here is stellar (see my review for a different experience at the bar at the end of this review). We came on our wedding anniversary and the menus were printed to reflect that. We started with the wood fired oysters with bread crumbs and country ham. Amazing! Also had the country ham and biscuits appetizer and it was also yummy. Loved the mustard but wish we had one more biscuit for the amount of meat. Husband did a buckwheat pasta with smoked chicken, peas and mushrooms and loved it. I ordered the beef with potatoes and broccolini. It was supposed to have chimichurri but very little, if any was provided. I wish I had said something because the dish was lacking without some flavor to accent the meat. All and all a nice experience.
Mixed thoughts about our visit to the bar. We came an hour before our dinner reservations and found the bar not overly crowded. Waited behind seated patrons for several minutes without being acknowledged while folks at the other end were being waited on. So husband went to that end and ordered our drinks. Meanwhile another couple comes in and manages to get menus from the bartender who previously ignored us. Two couples leave and we get their seats with that bartender. Not a particularly friendly guy. He did warm up after we had another two cocktails, him forgetting mine so the other bartender got it for me. It would appear that he was preoccupied with an issue, maybe I'm being generous to think we caught him at a bad time. The other bartender and the bar back were very charming. The real ouch was the charge for the bourbon. Granted I know prices have gone up but this was a shock. The bartender also felt the charge was excessive. We had the same bourbon in another bar later the same week and it was significantly cheaper. So, while I've previously adored this bar I think it is off my spots to drink in future visits. The price and the less than pleasant experience did not commute.
So bottem line for us is there are equally good or better places that are much cheaper. It depends on what the menu looks like as to whether we will dine here again. This was our 4th visit and truthfully it's slipped a little down our list each time.

When you visit husk you hope after 2 years you will at least recall 3 dishes. Spot on. We had 7 dishes and all of them were amazing. I’m saying that, the quail and the pork were outstanding. So it was the service and the atmosphere, with just the right light and tranquility to allow you to enjoy with your company.
I would definitely come back and can recommend it. You will not go wrong here

When visiting Charleston, Husk is a must-do on my itinerary for Sunday Brunch. Get here early though or you’ll be waiting a while. We were luck to find the Confit Duck Leg on the brunch menu as it’s typically only seen on the Dinner offering. Everything we got was a home run and that fact that most of the items are locally, grown and sourced is icing on the cake. Husk is a true representation of elevated Southern Cuisine and will always be a staple for me when I’m in Charleston.

Taking it easy because I only had shrimp and grits and tasted my wife’s salad. The tomatoes in the grits were described by the menu as being smoked. I swear they were canned based upon taste. Maybe pull these until farm fresh tomatoes are available or change them up without tomatoes. Something was seriously off. Not the elevated dining experience I was expected based upon price and reputation. I will give them another shot on my next trip.

Great food and service. They made my birthday dinner special, even a little Happy Birthday note on the menus and a candle in my delicious coconut ice cream. Can't wait to go back!
