The space, service, and atmosphere is amazing. You need reservations bc they were just constantly turning people away. Therefore, I was expecting to be blown away by the food, but unfortunately, the food was just OK. We were there for brunch. I appreciate the true farm to table of all their ingredients which creates their fresh southern dishes but I guess I was expecting more. I highly recommend the squash cinnamon bun.

This place doesn't need another review telling you how amazing it is, so I probably would have skipped reviewing it. Everything was amazing. We had crab rice, local lettuces (which was truly amazing), cornbread, fried catfish, Whiskey For Breakfast, Husk Old Fashioned, Open Invitation, biscuit bread pudding and the rabbit.
Any one of those at most restaurants would deserve a writeup and a thorough review. They were all top notch, 5 stars. My only complaint here is that in comparison to their rabbit dinner, everything else pales. It was possibly the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. I don't think I can properly describe the tender meat, melting in your mouth, wrapped in thinly sliced ham to hold the whole thing together on a bed of cheesey, creamy grits that just add to the absurdity of taste playing out on the tongue. I staight up can't with words. 17 stars, no notes.
Service; phenomenal (Randy was great, and beard game on point). Managers pop around constantly, and even help bus the tables which I find impressive.
I will say, it is not a fast meal, but that is clearly intentional. Between appetizers, dinner, and dessert (and 3 drinks each), we were here for 2.5 hours. Still, no regrets.

Quite tasty! Loved the fried wagyu beef tips. The cornbread was a bit over cooked/dry, and many of the dishes were a bit too salty (couldn’t finish them because of that). The ice cream was amazing.

Wonderful, small, perfected menu that changes every day. We went for brunch and it didn't disappoint. Mimosa was on point and we all enjoyed our meals! Service was excellent.

We had an excellent meal at Husk. Amazi food and great service. We had the pimento cheese plate for starters and catfish with tomato gravy and rice and heart of ribeye with confit potato and onion soubise for entrees. We also had a side of cornbread which they brought out in a small cast iron skillet. We finished with gelato for dessert. It was all delicious.

Nothing out of this world. Tasty but would probably go to other restaurants when in town again. We had the lettuce wraps, the squid ink pasta, eggplant side, and the rabbit dish.
The lettuce wraps were good. The pasta had a very “al dente” texture, more bite than expected. The rabbit was good but was more like a sausage than a main course since it was ground up and very spiced. The eggplant was not good at all, it was overly charred and had an overwhelming inedible burnt flavor.
The staff was friendly and drinks were good but we were expecting more since it’s so hyped up.

part of the wave of food pioneers that created today’s charleston food scene. 12 years old, still feels fresh and on point…i had a great meal.
extremely well executed. the service was attentive, warm and informed.
had a wonderful rare bourbon on their list. then the lamb dumplings: firm wrapper, and full of juice and flavor, like a southern XLB. spicy!! and fulfilling. the fried catfish was beautifully executed. the collard greens were smoky. the dirty rice had umami richness.

We enjoyed a lovely southern meal at Husk. Our server Kayla was knowledgeable and attentive. The rib appetizer was delicious: smoky and tender. I had the fried catfish with hopping’ John beans. The flavors in this dish worked well together and the thick tomato gravy was a nice complement. My husband enjoyed his pork, but the tendrils were a bit overwhelming and unnecessary. The bok choy side was a winner as was the ricotta cheesecake dessert. Definitely recommend a visit to Husk when you are in Charleston!

The service is great and the house vibe looks nice, which is the only reason I’m giving a 3 star.
However, the food is quite disappointing to us, who just came from the Husk at Savannah. Two starters to begin with, one taste like fried oyster on a salad, nothing special for a place like plus the oyster doesn’t taste fresh. The fried chicken thigh is nothing like the southern chicken we expected, but rather a better version of “American kung pao chicken”. We also had duck confit for entree. There isn’t a major disaster about the dish, but it’s not really crispy as a normal duck confit would be, which makes whole thing very greasy. The only thing that taste good is prolly the cornbread
