Osprey Point RV Resort & Marina

Absolutely Love this place!!! The staff are friendly, go above and beyond to help meet the needs of everyone staying here! During bass tournaments they have opened their kitchen up early to serve biscuits and gravy for the anglers! They have the best coffee and great pizza!!!

Under new ownership. When they make all the improvements it will be much nicer. We have not stayed here in the RV. But I have used public laundry which is nice and clean. Restrooms nice and clean. Has a bar/pub with pizza and other foods. Have not eaten here personally. Staff in gift shop office friendly.

Areas of improvement: Management Team: Do not tell a current customer that you are not responsible for keeping a customer's reservations or your rules in Reserve America. This year was already a disaster because of the same. Do not be sarcastic, rude, or treat people as if they are dumb. Do not tell someone you can't fix the problem then go to the other member in my party to let then know that you corrected his reservation after he informed you he was a veteran and wanted to speak to the owner. Yet, you didn't correct mine. This other party was a family member, the baby is my grandchild and Lake Osprey was our 1x a year to see each other. What you haven't realized is I was sitting in the office when you changed the schedule for the other group over our reservation. I just didn't realize that it was our sites you were changing. You did nothing to correct the problem, save my continuing business, you did nothing, but say "ok", when I notified you I am leaving the park. I could have made a scene in front of your guests, but I do not believe in acting in that manner. So I am doing something I never do, I am leaving a park early, leaving money on the table that I can't afford, and leaving a review. Let me add this note: Take the money that I am leaving on the table and apply it to Integrity and Customer service 101 - for the management team.
Positive Areas: The short term area of the park is fabulous, maintained quite well. Lots of grass, asphalt to park on at each location, picnic tables (need work) and a fire ring. For the boaters, there is an area to park your boat, boat ramp, etc.

The long term area could use some improvement. The people who live there call it the "low rent district", which quite frankly isn't low. The area needs to be cleaned up, grass watered so dirt isn't flying, pull the weeds, mow and fix the picnic tables.

They have a fabulous bar and pub serving bar type food delivered by some smiling friendly staff. People from all around come to the Pub so that tells you how nice the atmosphere is, the drinks are cold, and the food good. They have a very clean Laundry room. however, I do not remember how many machines are available. They have a game room for the kids, which is quite popular.
I want to acknowledge and say "thank you" as Osprey has some very hard working people trying to support the customers, rent boats and boat stalls, maintain the park, as well as take care of any fire that may come up and trust me I know from my park they do. I think they could add a few additional people during their peak season so that it runs smoother.

Response to Owner: Chris, I am extremely confused with your response beginning with the picnic dinner you invited me to attend. I am struggling to understand where you obtained your information as it is so far from the truth or even what the relevance is to addressing the problem.

Initially, I was going to respond to each of your points, but it doesn’t solve the problem nor is it professional to continue in this manner including the jabs to my personality.

I would like to again ask you to please go back and read what I stated as it had nothing to do with my reservation for this year. In fact, I want it made clear to whomever is giving you your information that the person who does your scheduling did a fabulous job when I called in April/May in placing me in the park including adding on to the schedule twice so that I could be there two months. Upset, no. Disappointed, yes, because I wanted to be by my grandchild so I could spend as much time as possible with her before we parted for another year.

You state, “Please book your spot so you dont miss out on your prime spot next year”. Something has been lost in translation as my “Needs Improvement” is stating what happened when I did try to make my reservation for next year for two spaces for two months each. Help me understand how I approach this differently to have a positive outcome to be able to stay in the same area as my grandchild

The Cedar Cabin is not level - slants downhill. Missing blinds on the windows - put towels on windows - broken blinds. Broken toilet seat - TV didn't work.
No toaster - one glass. Staff said this was the better of the cabins.
Left 3 days early.

On the plus side - staff was friendly and food in Pub was good.

Excellent place to enjoy. Has a bar on site, gaming machines, propane and food. Definitely one of our favorite places thus far.

** edit** I am not nor have ever worked at osprey point or in lakeside. This is also not a false review. This is even more evidence of your "hospitality". When there's a problem fix it. Don't try to belittle and dismiss it to try to boost your Google reviews**
Out of allof the bad experiences I've had trying to get food this was the worst. I tried to call in an order and got put "on hold" which means they set the phone on the counter so you hear all of the yelling in the kitchen and banging... For ten excrutiating minutes... I hung up and decided to just drive over since it seemed like they may be busy. When I walked in it didn't seem busy at all so I put in my order for pizza. The girl didn't seem to know how to run a card. Should have walked out at this point but I figured pizza doesn't take that long. So I sat down to wait the 15 minutes I was told it would take. As I was waiting the bartender got in a yelling match and was fighting with the drunks at the end of the bar (sounded like a regular occurrence). There where employees getting extremely intoxicated as well. After about 40 minutes of waiting with no interactions whatsoever from any staff, only drunks. I was informed that they where just about to put my order in and the kitchen had been backed up a bit... I only saw two burgers come out in this time. It only took five more minutes and my food was ready. 10/10 do not recommend ever.

Been coming to Osprey Point since I was about 13. The pub and store and coffeehouse staff are the nicest- You basically become family while staying there! The lake is amazing and huge and at any point you might see a few deer, eagles and even bear. Highly recommend staying here, you'll have the best time!

We recently had the privilege of spending a couple nights in a cabin at Osprey Point. All of the comforts of home in a cozy, peaceful cabin, with a gorgeous lake to explore in our little boat. Great location; easy drive to the dunes and Coos Bay. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We've already made reservations for a return visit. Can't wait!

If I rated this for customer service and friendliness it would be a five.. The RV park is kind of separated into different areas. The area near the lake is the nicest in my opinion. If it bothers you to stay on the coast in rougher than California conditions then you might not like it. Lakeside is a beautiful little town. Woody Harrelson has stayed here. The prices are great. Coffee is two dollars for a medium of Seattle’s Best. They have donuts. They have a very nice bar for adults. They serve pizza.They have boat rentals for the lake on which they fish for bass and Perch I think.

Nice RV park. You have a bit of room between spaces. Nice pizza and pub on site. Good pizza! Pads are all paved with a few shade trees. Some spaces right on shores of Tenmile lake too with view.
