My family stayed here for Thanksgiving. We were in the Chalet cabin. Although I'd made my reservations a month in advance, when we got there, there was no one in the office and no one to meet us. We managed to get a key with the help of a resident, and were disappointed by the cabin. Firstly, it's on an incline (the whole thing slants downhill), secondly, the "sleeping loft" is too narrow for an inflatable mattress-- your face would be smashed against the ceiling! thirdly the kitchen is not "fully furnished" as I was reassured it would be-- there is no oven, which was a problem for us to cook our turkey, there were no cooking pots, only a frying pan, no can opener, etc... Finally, the way we met the park manager was when he ran up on us to yell at us for "speeding" in the park. We were doing about 20mph. He was very angry, growling about "signs all over the place that it's 5mph!", but when we later looked there was only one very small sign at the end of the entry driveway, which we didn't see because we were trying to find the office. We cancelled the reservation we'd made for the summer. This place is just not as advertised with an unfriendly manager. The response to my original post by the owner is that I am confused about the name of the park, but we were definitely at Osprey Point! Will they try to deny that they have a cabin they rent out called "The Chalet"? It is on their website!

Very nice experience here on ten mile lake. Large bathroom with showers also a pub with food on site.

Very nice RV park. Would have liked a little closer to the ocean but everyone was full so a good option. It is on a lake so lots of fishing and boating. We were on the water and next to the fish cleaning sink. Saw a lot of people cleaning the fish they had caught. Laundry was nice. They do have a pub right there that serves bar food and drinks. We ate there the first night we got in, both service and food were good. Sights were level and cement. We stayed here in a 40ft 5th wheel-we had plenty of room. Would stay again if in the area.

The location is great. Most of the staff is friendly. Very noisy and crowded on summer weekends. Sites need to be cleaned up in between guests. I had burned out charcoal rings in three locations and a bunch of cigarette butts. It is great that the pub is right there for a good bite to eat. Good Verizon signal.

Update:

Just to be clear, I am not holding the washer responsible for my one star review. I am holding the manager and staff responsible for assuming that we are at fault for the washer failing to empty of water because it was supposedly overloaded. We had to spend another $2.00 on top of the $2.25 to wash the same load of soaking wet laundry in another washer, and guess what, it worked just fine. So overloaded was not the issue.

Yes this may be a petty issue to some, but what really irked me was that the manager didn’t talk to us directly to understand the issue or to even apologize for our inconvenience, and that is the real reason for this review and the one star.

As for the refund, we know we aren’t getting it. We learned our lesson and we will avoid the washers and dryers from now on. I will also advise people to avoid using the laundry facilities, and if they do decide to use them to put in very, very small loads.

I will upgrade my review to three stars only because this is such a beautiful place, and I enjoy staying right on the lake.

Before I explain my one star review, this park is amazing and I love spending time here.

My one star is regarding the laundry facilities. I advise you to avoid the washers and dryers.

We were denied a refund of $2.25 because apparently the washer was “overloaded” and the manager never directly spoke with us. The washer was half full of water and when the entire load of laundry was moved to another washer, it washed just fine. It was not overloaded.

We did our laundry here last year about 3 times so we knew how much the washers hold, and we never had an issue. So, under that assumption the washer is the problem.

Well let's say there website is not right, and information they provide when calling is not correct... I along with a friend both reserved camping spaces for our toy haulers so we could ride from the campground to the Dunes...WRONG, their website says ride from here (see picture). We checked in and were told that we cannot ride out of the park without the risk of $400 fine from law enforcement... They went on to say I can leave my SxS at the county park. Really! I went on to ask them why are you telling people you can ride from here and wait until they arrive to tell them different? They said we don't have access to change the website only the owner does.. I have had these reservations for over a month.. still not a good answer. We ended up staying for one night and with that being said the cable TV did not work, they have started their winter hours a month early (see picture) and were not able to fix anything because they were closed at 1pm. That was the cherry on top for us... So with all the negatives there saving grace was they refunded all our money and my friends... We left after a night.

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This place is amazing. Just about everything you need is right here, in a beautiful spot. Quiet, peaceful, the people are friendly and helpful. The pizza/bar has so much more than pizza it's hard to choose but they have the best burgers over sized portions. A bit pricey but well worth the money. If you don't have a big apetite there is more than enough to share with a companion. If you are looking to relax and enjoy yourself this is the place to be.

First time staying here, we weren't sure what to expect but were very happy with the total experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we ate at the pub twice and found the food excellent. We also rented a boat slip for the week and found the docks in great condition and easy to maneuver through.
We will make this a annual destination and highly recommended it.

This RV park is a great location for exploring the Dunes. Spots are easy to pull into, though a little tight. The grass is all brown everywhere, which was doable. The restrooms were clean and well kept. But. The women’s showers had TEPID water at best. I’d say cold, but everyone’s perception of ‘cold’ is different. Nice spot to kayak on the lake as well.

Great location! Like the red of our coastal beaches, it can be windy from noon onwards so be prepared. The pizza there is awesome to the point non of my kids wanted our camping food for dinner for our entire trip! Everyone there were great and we definitely will be back!
