Our first visit, we highly recommend Sunrise Cafe. Most everything is locally grown, the menu is full of exciting entrees, the servings are huge and everything was absolutely delicious. Kudos y'all!

Terrible. The worst restaurant that I have been. I arrived at 5:50 pm and the bill arrived 45 min after but my food never arrived… it’s insane. If I didn’t ask about my food and I just got excuses but not my food. I can’t believe it.

The wait was shorter than expected but that was the only positive part of this review. There was a table playing their phone on full blast, repeating a very loud music video and passing it around the table, no staff member asked them to turn it down, they were there before we got there and stayed until we were almost finished eating. It took our waitress about 5 min to get waters but about 10-15 min to come back and take our orders. The Bloody Mary was so watered down I returned it. The food was really bland. I ordered an omelette but it was plain scrambled eggs with no flavor folded over some veggies that seemed picked out of a jar. The artichokes were hard and the pieces were way too big, at the least the feta and sun dried tomatoes had some flavor. My boyfriends burger was really sad and smushed, he said the wheat flavor of the bun was very overwhelming and burger patty was extremely dry. We finished eating for a very long time and our waitress was in the back texting and gossiping with another waitress. We tried to flag her down several times but she never glanced at our table. The other two were busy with their tables running around. We had to get up to ask to pay our bill. Unfortunately this wasn’t our first time and service and food has gotten worse with each visit and this will be our last.

I would definitely recommend if you are wanting to eat healthy. They have a variety of food that is good for you! We paid around 60$ for 3 of us to eat including tip. Perfect place to eat before a hike!

We had very interesting dishes: me -- sweet potato latkes topped with black beans and goat cheese -- he -- risotto with smoked mushrooms and blueberries with a blueberry compote. Good side salad with avocado-based dressing, homemade dinner rolls, excellent potato soup. Everything fresh and tasty. Attentive, fast, friendly service with Dylan as our waiter. Sat on the back patio on a perfect summer night. They're big on serving locally produced food, which we like to support. Extensive beer and wine menu. Yes, we'd definitely eat here again.

Not impressed at all. Not sure where all the good reviews come from. I couldn’t finish the Bloody Mary because it was watered down and fishy. The burgers and toppings were fresh but the sides were odd. They removed the bloody from the bill but continued to gossip about it for the extent of our meal. Wouldn’t waste my money there again.

This is my favorite restaurant in Yellow Springs. That is why I wanted to go here for Valentine's Day. They had a special five course menu for the day that we decided to try. Everything was delicious as expected. Each course came with a wine pairing. And dessert came with Irish coffee or Prosecco. The main course was grilled pork belly with peach glaze and cheesy polenta. Amazing! My only complaint was that there was only one dessert to share between the two of us and I could have easily eaten my own piece of that amazing chocolate torte. A couple of my pictures below are from previous visits and unfortunately got mixed in with the pictures from this visit. Can't wait to go back.

Popular spot and the wait will tell you why. The food was delicious, caters to vegetarians/vegans. Delicious ‘Huevos Rancheros’ is what I got along with a buttermilk pancake. Did not disappointment. They make their own ketchup and jam.

Came in this morning, was promised a table as soon as we walked in because they had a full house. Waited for 15 minutes to our table be given away while we watched it being cleaned because that person “called ahead” even though we were the first people in there on the wait. As someone who works in the industry, I will not be coming back after that experience.

Wonderful slice of life café. Wagyu beef burgers, today with mushrooms and Swiss. Great staff at every point. It's worth it. Just go.
