This was by far the worst food I ever had! The biscuits and gravy consisted of 2 small (the size of my palm or silver dollar pancakes) very hard biscuits, a ton of gravy with huge green onions all over it which tasted very odd. The sampler also came with a very hard, small biscuit, oddly flavored eggs, horribly hard potatoes, and bacon. Sadly the over cooked bacon was the best part. Then to end this horrible experience my stomach was terribly upset before we even left the restaurant! Save yourself the time, money, and stomach upset by staying far away from here!

Big changes. Won't ever go back.
We used to travel 2 counties to have dinner here, sometimes taking 3 to-go meals to have for later. But now, we booked a reservation for 5pm and when we were finally seated, the server handed us menus and told us we had to be done by 6pm because she had another reservation for our table in less than an hour. The great German food they used to serve is gone off the menu, replaced by cheap and flavorless salads and other garbage. It was a great restaurant a month ago, but it's now something we'll always avoid. We left without eating, and when we walked by at 6:05pm, the table was still empty. So both reservations resulted in no revenue for this place. At least both reservations got a good meal somewhere else.

We haven't been to this restaurant in a great many moons. I'll start by saying that the service was excellent. My wife ordered the black bean enchilada, and I had a burger. We had returned to this restaurant because of the black bean enchilada, and it really disappointed. The enchilada used to come on a bed of flavorful rice, and it was covered with sautéed veggies, and a fresh avocado sliced on top. This time the avocado was hard as a rock, there weren't any veggies, and it comes on a bed of grits. The wrapper on the enchilada was hard on the bottom, to the point that a knife had to be used to cut it, and it was hard to chew. The grits had small hulls in the blend, that couldn't be chewed and the best way I can describe them was that they were like eating popcorn hulls. The burger was very small and didn't even hang over the sides of the small bun that held it. For $15 it was the worst burger I have had recently. My son had the salmon that was forgettable as far as flavor, but it was cooked correctly. Oh, and they don't have bread anymore with the meal. The salad dressing was excellent however, but limited. They now have breakfast all day, but I can cook breakfast at home for darn near free.

We went out to visit Yellow Springs and this place came recommended by family, but the food was not good. First of all the only non alcoholic drinks were either water, coffee, or Mexican Coke or Mexican Sprite which was over 4 dollars for a bottle. Weird that a american restaurant only sells mexican soda. There was a lot of weird menu items we never heard of so we decided too just get breakfast food for dinner. The food came out and some was cold, tiny biscuits which one was rock hard and crumbled upon buttering, over cooked bacon, and the biscuits and gravy was just that. No meat at all just flavored gravy with green onions and pepper mixed in. Do yourself a favor and look for other food options when visiting Yellow Springs! And as a side note, the fiance felt sick after leaving there, we will never waste our money there again!

Awesome food, great food selection. Good local beer selection. Vegan and vegetarian-friendly

I got the shrimp and grits and let me tell you for $26 you are mostly paying for a load of vegetables saturated on top of the very few bites of polenta and maybe 8 pieces of shrimp. With shrimp and grits it’s expected to get a fair amount of grits with the dish, unfortunately this was not the case.the vegetables along with the Cajun sauce drowned the dish making it not as appeasing if it was just portioned right. Biggest issue is you certainly don’t get what you pay for and the fact that dishes that have polenta on the side comes with more than the shrimp and grits. Would not recommend to anyone! Maybe thier $15 burgers at best.

Very delicious food! Nice service and fun local farm products served here!
Featuring Dale Filburn Farm eggs and
The Maker's Meadow grass-fed meats sometimes.

First time here from a recommendation and the food was good. Our waitress, who was very nice, was a bit overworked and could have used some help filling in on quite a few duties. We’ll have to come back again.

Phenomenal, thin, crispy edged pancakes with clarified butter. Average Huevos Rancheros.

This was a great little place for local food. I was surprised with the considerable Vegetarian and vegan options. The wait staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the food they were producing. The restaurant itself was a little bit small and cramped but it was very welcoming. I will definitely come back if I am ever in the area.
