The food was scrumptious, service was great, and the atmosphere was spectacular!! Very cute restaurant with beautiful painting on the walls!! Would definitely recommend!! 🩷🥞🥪

The food tasted like mom's home cooking. The service was great; the young ladies working there were very sweet and polite. The Atmosphere was pretty loud with a crowd but was tolerable. Overall it was a great experience and will go back again.

Enjoyed an evening meal here - we’re vegetarians so this place was recommended to us. The asparagus and Parmesan soup was good, but the entree - pad Thai - didn’t have enough vegetables by far, and the tofu was a little soft (for my taste). The staff were super friendly and hardworking, although i feel like the whole place could do with a little spring cleaning and brightening up. Otherwise, a very nice option for eating out in Yellow Springs, and it certainly suits the town’s hippy vibe.

Service was good, only one server who was friendly, polite, and did her best to attend to all the tables. The atmosphere is interesting, very dark for breakfast time. The food was just terrible. Biscuits tasted like cardboard and were slightly bigger than a quarter, the Mexican omelette didn't come with any of the toppings listed on the menu and canned tomatoes, french toast was covered in a crust of with powdered sugar and the gravy tasted like it came from a store bought mix. Sunrise potatos were the biggest disappointment - they were drenched in oil and yet not fully cooked, nor seasoned.

Do not be taken back by the decor! The food is amazing! Get the meatloaf is available. From the bread, to the soup, to the main course, they can truly hang with the best of them. Oh and Meredith was a great server!

Well loved and respected local establishment. The dinner service is just as good as the breakfast service. It is a staple of the local community founded in what Yellow Springs is known for quality, eclectic, and charming. Vegetarians, Vegans, Anti-Gluetens, and Meat eaters rejoice there is literally something for everyone on the menu. The coffee and the breads are also excellent not just quality but with real taste and depth. The service has always been excellent but, weekends can over whelm the small square footage for best experiences hit the off hours and less busy days.

I really wanted to like this place.
The vibe is good, decorations and atmosphere is on point, but that's about where things end on a positive note.
Waitress forgot about us while outside.
Service took VERY long for every step.
The pancakes were legit uncooked batter throughout the whole middle.
The potatoes were also undercooked, limp and flavorless. The biscuits and gravy were COMICALLY small portions.
Honestly, there looks like much better options in the area and I regret eating here.

The menu here has an excellent variety, beautifully crafted cocktails, and a great selection of liquor brands to select from – as one of the brands on their shelf, Buckeye Vodka is proud to sit among this company of brands. This is the perfect spot to catch up with a group of friends but also appropriate ambiance for any occasion.

My last two visits to Sunrise have been lackluster, but decided to give it one more try a couple of nights ago. Upon entering my son & I were quickly greeted and shown to a table outside which we were happy about because it was a beautiful evening. We sat and were provided with menus, silverware and water. We sat for about ten minutes with no offer of service. The kind host did return with a carafe of water. We sat for 15 or so more minutes without any contact with or offer of service. At that point we got up and left and went down to my favorite YS spot- Calypso, where we enjoyed friendly and efficient service and amazing cocktails and food! I don't understand how two restaurants owned by the same family can be managed so differently, and have again been disappointed by my experience at Sunrise.
