Really a shame. Used to be my go to. Been coming since inception. Quality worse, customer service and friendliness of the staff, worse, newndecor, way worse. I felt as if I was going to a French pastry shop. Manager walked around looking at the unreal lines but not helping out in the least. Really really disappointed in where this place has gone, lost my order and another patron too. I'm thinking it's under new ownership or something. New machine is burning your coffee too with 40+ second brew times. Y'all downgraded big time

One of the girls making the coffees kept loudly complaining about someone ordering a latte with no foam. She was saying they might as well microwave it because it is the same as no foam and that she’s just doesn’t get it. She said this several times very loudly. I feel it is unprofessional and down right rude to be complaining loudly about an order WHILE the customer is standing there waiting on it. Honestly, the coffee does taste like it has been microwaved, is this why? The coffee could be the best thing in the world, but based on the employee’s lack of professionalism and obvious lack of concern for others, along with her rude comments, I will never come here again. Period.

I was excited to come back to River Road today after they closed, but was disappointed quickly. An employee was making rude comments towards the other workers, and made it a not-so friendly environment. It felt uncomfortable to witness as a customer, as I'm sure other customers felt this too. Great drinks, great store, and many friendly staff, however this situation was just very strange.

The food was delicious. The coffee when we finally got it was mediocre. There was only 1 other couple that walked in right in front of us. Both their and our orders were taken. 3 different people placed orders after us. All 3 of the orders after ours and the couple in front of us got their beverages and left. An employee then asked the other couple what they were waiting on and made theirs. The 2 employees then proceeded to discuss their holidays while we stood waiting. After waiting about 20 minutes from the time we placed our order, we then asked where our coffee was. The girl asked us what we ordered and within 2 minutes we had our drinks. Based on this experience, unsure whether we will try it again.

Everything was decent, but the picture speaks for itself. Was very disappointed.

They just redid the interior in Granville. Looks nice. The coffee is great and service is always with a smile.

I have been coming here almost every Tuesday for the past year and I love it! The drinks are delicious and affordable. The atmosphere from the moment you see it, is cozy and welcoming. I love the designs they make on the hot drinks, and they have a wall where you wait for your drinks, with pictures of the employees and little bits of information about them that I really enjoy! Don't forget to check out the flavor of the month 🙂

Gotta love an independent coffee shop like this gem… turn of the century residential home turned 3rd place. Wide range hot and cold drinks and lovely array of local baked goods. So cozy, easy to lose track of time… perfection.

I used to come here all the time in college. This is a very central perk kinda vibe. Lots of cute seating. 10/10 recommend the vibes. The coffee and, chai are delicious, better than Starbucks in my opinion. Counting down the days to my school reunion so I can get a delicious coffee again!

This is an adorable coffee house if you’re dining in. For a quick pick up and go, go somewhere else. The location is inconvenient, parking is a nightmare, and the entrance is like climbing Mount Everest with CHUNKS of salt all over them creating an even rockier and uneven terrain. The barista area isn’t large enough to hold more than three people; the cashier, who chooses what orders to fulfill in no rhyme or reason, and the two making beverages.
Fun to watch them work, cute little place, but I wouldn’t make this a normal coffee stop.
Oh, the drinks? Unremarkable, unmemorable, and barely have taste.

There’s a location on 21st street that’s a little better.
