Veranda Cafe & Gift

After eating here twice (inside and to-go), I can safely say this is now my favorite lunch spot in Black Mountain! Their tomato soup is to die for. I would move mountains to get to this tomato soup. The flavored tea is always on point, especially mixed with sweet tea (if you have a sweet tooth like me). Their service is always above and beyond, and the desserts are out of this world. I just ate lunch there and can't wait to go back!

A favorite place to eat lunch in Black Mountain. Excellent food. Sometimes we have to wait but usually not long. Now they have eco-friendly straws!

We loved the food and the hospitality. Black mountain is just a wonderful town. A lot of shops & restaurants are closed Mon-Tues. The staff of Veranda were there taking care of all the visitors. We will stop by again when in the area.

Great hidden gem! Had the Chipotle wrap was outstanding. I think any choice would be a good one. Can't wait to go back!

This place is a great stop! My girlfriend had the turkey berry brie and I had the greek chicken gyro. They were both delicious. Neither one of us had a scrap left on our plates when we were through. We can't wait to come back.

We did take out, but it is a very cute airy restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our sandwiches came with us on a hike but held up well and we're very tasty. They do not skimp on the fillings. I got the turkey berry brie which was delicious.

Love this place! The place is bright and cheerful with a modern vibe. As a vegetarian with a picky preschooler I was shocked to find such delicious food that both of us loved. The vegetarian sandwich is huge and filling, and the Israeli curried soup is really tasty too. We’ll definitely be back!!

Great menu and delicious food. Daily specials and options for gluten free and vegetarian. The outdoor dining was a little disappointing. Very small area, overlooked a gravel lot and a dumpster.
