Veranda Cafe & Gift

Our family dropped into Veranda while making a day trip to Black Mountain. We knew it was going to be good, because it was packed with locals for lunch. The food was delicious and didn't break the bank, and the service was on point. If we ever return to Black Mountain, we will be back.

Stop by for lunch. Do the soup and half sandwich...it’s big enough to last you till dinner.

We had two days in Black Mountain and had lunch at Veranda both days. Good food, good hospitality, good service and new flavors. I had the Hungarian mushroom soup on both days and my wife had the Tomato Basil soup on both days. This was some of the best soup we ever had and the sandwiches were good too. In these days of chain lunch places it is beautiful to run into new flavors with an owner operator there working his restaurant. We want to return.

They got us in and seated immediately on a rainy day in black mountain where everyone else had a wait. The only bummer was tgey had sold out of all their soup already. The sandwiches came out ridiculously fast and all tasted great! We had the ham and cheese melt, turkey rueben and turkey and brie. We'll definitely be back.

Wonderful soups and sandwiches. Now open 7 days a week 11 till 3.

Always good. Specials are good, flavored teas are awesome, anything on the menu is going to be great.

We ordered the special of the day which was a reuben sandwich. The bun was cold and soft and it had about 2 small cuts of meat. And for this they charged $14 dollars. Sorry, won't be back.

Quaint environment. Sandwiches were great.
