Village Bakery & Cafe, Rochester NY

I met a friend for lunch at 12:30. We promptly placed our orders. It took more than 20 minutes for my sandwich to be prepared!! It seemed to me that they are more interested in filling the online orders than the ones where someone Is there in person. Also I asked for the mayonnaise to be on the side. I did get a side of it but the sandwich was loaded with Mayo. It was a very disappointing experience.

Great tasting food and service!! One of my favorite spots close to home.

The food is good. It has gluten-free bread which I'm glad to get. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. I like it there and I do want to return again.

Love The Village Bakery! The food is fresh and delicious. I usually order the salmon on toast but any of the open face sandwiches are a good choice. If I come for lunch I usually grab a couple of macaroons for dessert!

This place is really great and im glad to live nearby. The food and drink is excellent and the people who work there are friendly and often accommodating.

It's often a busy place and loud so you have to pay attention for when your drinks are ready and separately when your food is ready. I can't really fault them for being popular and wanting to maintain that atmosphere and not impose even more work on their employees.

I think a lot of the complaints here about customer service are honestly very ridiculous/unfair based on my own experiences with staff.

The armory itself being in a parking lot moat with kinda poor pedestrian/disabled access and amenities does suck though.

You should definitely try their lunch sandwiches, they're always amazing.

This is for the Eastview Mall location. The service is underwhelming and the food was awful. Was not called when order was up so it sat there for some time. So oily, skimpy on the sandwich meat, and I wanted my bread fresh, not deep fried which is how it seems to have been served. The price for a sandwich like this is unacceptably high, and the quality is unacceptably low. Will not visit again. I feel terrible after eating just 1/2 of this sandwich. I ordered a simple turkey sandwich.

I love this place. This is my third time coming and the quality of food just seems to get better and better. All the ingredients are so fresh and natural.
