Food and drinks are always spot on. Always warm and made with care. I like the avocado toast. It’s a nice spread of avocado on a thick warm slice of bread. I got the spiced eggnog latte today too. Very delicious and fillings. There were countless people going in and out, seating was practically full because the place is just that awesome!

Very nice place to have breakfast or lunch. Service was fast, food was good.
I liked the idea of getting a txt when my food was ready to collect.

The only thing that could improve was the sitting style, instead of 1 large table few small tables would have been nice as it would be easy for the staff to clean up between customers.

Today was my first time at Village Bakery. I got the French toast latte and the B.A.L.T with roast turkey. I will definitely be coming back. Great spot to grab some coffee, a bite to eat, and talk with a friend. There’s plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs.

Pleasant staff. Great coffee and food. Quiet atmosphere with a hum of utilities in the background.

I ordered take out from here to eat while on a road trip. The online ordering system was easy to use, and the food was ready about ten minutes early, so I will give them that positivity. That said, the order was incorrect, which, to my own fault, I didn’t discover until after we were on the road. I had ordered the hummus sandwich with an addition of balsamic red onions because they were out of olives. Turns out the sandwich comes with barely any hummus on it at all, wilted/yellowing arugula, and instead of the onions, they added a slice of Swiss cheese. Not sure how that happened. I also got a salad and they forgot to include the dressing. My boyfriend’s sandwich came out fine. Also, when I picked it up, I looked to see if there were utensils included in the bag. I asked the cashier if they were in there, and she said, “They should be”, but handed me some anyway. It’s a good thing that I asked, because otherwise we would have been without. I have no problem with a policy where you have to ask for utensils with take out (I can see how this would cut down on a lot of waste), but if they were supposed to be in there and weren’t, that is another thing about my order that they overlooked. I’ve done dine-in at this location and another Village Bakery before with much more success, so in a pinch I would be willing to try that again, but I have very little faith in their take-out orders.

I will start by stating that I have never had cause to write a review before…but this was my First visit to this establishment (mall location) while headed back southern CT. Stopped in for what was expected to be a yummy bite & an iced latte. 25 mins later still waiting on my order, I was informed that the bread had not come in yet…opted for sourdough instead. My bill for 2 sandwiches, water and coffees was $48??? Unfortunately the photo above is what I got. Since when is a bakery allowed to serve a piece of ham and a slice of cheese on dry sliced bread and charge $10 for it? I am still shocked! But, my mistake - I was already on the highway before I discovered the disappointment. Never again.

LONG time VB supporter, but recently I have been seeing a lot of inconsistencies within my orders. I ordered the Mikayla on Sourdough (my usual) and they let me know they were out of avocado but still charged me the full price (add on avocado is extra) and my “poached egg” was served hard. Without the runny poached egg, the sandwich misses on the moisture. I also asked for a side of jam, which used to be a delicacy, and was handed a small container of smuckers :/ My brother ordered the Caroline sandwich, and his egg was also very hard, cheese was poorly melted, and the special spread/sauce was missing. He did ask for his egg to be remade but by the time it was out his sandwich was cold…. Used to be my favorite place to bring out of town guests/friends but now I have grown weary

Charming little cafe. The upstairs loft seating was fun. Almond croissant, French toast, oatmeal were all delicious. Great morning stop.

This is my second time coming to the village bakery. Clean, indoor and outdoor seating available. I tried both the AM and PM provisions menu. The ricotta toast was amazing. Definately loved the bread and the ricotta spread. The tomatoes and basil were great, just wished that the tomato sizes were smaller cuts.

For the PM provisions, I tried the grilled vegetable sandwich and the tuna sandwich. I want to start off by saying the sandwiches were delicious and tasty. I also ordered a cesar salad which was delicious and well. The hibiscus drink and strawberry and cream were tasty, but felt the strawberry and cream was slightly watery. The hibiscus was really yummy and flavorful. The Bread is AMAZING!! I do want to say that the food is a 5/5.

However was highly disappointed with the customer service. The sandwiches are supposed to come with chips. They were out of chips and said they could give me more "pickles" instead of compensating two meals with a drink or bakery item. I also found a piece of chicken in my salad which I did not want. She apologized and offered to make another one, which I did not want. No refunds or other options offered. I paid over $30 for everything however items were missing or unwanted items were found and I felt disappointed with the way it was handled. This is why I am rating them 3 stars.

A local chain featuring freshly baked goodies and coffee beverages. A more down to earth version of Le Pain Quotidien is my overall impression. The breads/sandwich is the focus of the menu and has a lot to offer. The quiche is tender and flavorful, probably my favorite. The flavored coffee is at the sweeter side so you may consider customize the syrup pumps to fit your palate. The staff was friendly and attentive and the dining area clean and spacious. Definitely a solid option to enjoy breakfast and lunch.

Cute little cafe. You can definitely tell they tried for a more homey vibe even though it could seem a little corporate based on the setting. Coffee was amazing (had the perfect oat milk latte) and the food was great as well. A good variety of breakfast sandwiches, from the classic sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant (satisfying as it was buttery and unhealthy but elevated with good ingredients) to a lighter arugula with goat cheese variation.
