I think I really need to start a subscription from this place. I do wish they were open on weekends but I think they do that because of the location maybe. But the coffee from here is always excellent. The freshness of the beans are always ideal as I run a espresso machine at home.

The coffee is the best in town, the service is wonderful, staff is very nice, chocolate sample on the stone slab is amazing. BUT! don’t ever order anything from their breakfast menu. All 3 plates we ordered were terrible. Worst food we had ever eaten at the restaurants and we are foodies. Even pancake which usually can’t go wrong is un-rdible to our palate. we promise ourselve not to ever eat breakfast:brunch there anymore. The Fried yucca is good as long as you add salt on it.

This is my favorite version of the Joe bean brand. The new space is open, casual and inviting. The coffee roasting /brewing process is on display and the product is always on point.
The Espresso profile tends to highlight bright and acidic notes.

The shop is more of a roaster and coffee equipment place but do have a limited selection of drinks that can be made. The beans are great and the employees are very knowledgeable on the whole process. Would recommend any coffee enthusiasts to go check it out.

The Black Hawk is one of the highest quality espresso machines on the market. The espresso it has the potential to produce with the trained hand of an experienced barista is a quite the wonderful experience, drawing out the complexities of the bean at perfect temperature. Joe Bean offers the experience your looking for if you’re a serious espresso drinker or just appreciate quality coffee served in an creative atmosphere decorated with live plants and fun mural. The older drawback is the kitchen being recently closed(permanently I think).
Would have given five stars if my stomach wasn’t empty.

The coffee shop most coffee shops want to be or wish they were

Excellent selection of in house roasted beans offered up to brew in various methods. These guys were doing pour-over way before the rest of the world caught on

Attentive staff, great ambiance and generous portions

Best coffee house in Rochester

My wife, son, and I all got iced coffee and it was the best iced coffee I've ever had. It was our first time at Joe Bean so we chatted up several of the staff and they were all super nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. We also bought a bag of coffee beans for our French press at home and enjoyed it greatly. We'll definitely be back.

It’s more of a commercial shop w/ a small section to order a cup of joe? No seating - unless I missed something entirely. Also, I don’t need my latte sweetened but the fact they did not have any to offer any was peculiar to me. The employee wasn’t too friendly either. I will say is was a well balanced & rounded latte though(:

Nice place to study, with bar and table seating, a super selection of coffee, tea, and alcohol. Food is pretty good. Parking available on the side of the building. Love all the plants around.

Was bummed when their actual coffee shop closed, but recently started going back to buy coffee from them.. so glad I did! They only have one decaf most times (COLOMBIA AZAHAR DECAF), but it's really good. I like it hot well enough - but the way I really like it is brewed double strength, cooled down, then served as an iced coffee in the afternoon. It's rich and luscious and none of that weird burnt taste or missing center notes taste to get from a lot of decafs.. I swear I get a little buzz!!
