After living amongst the excellent array of Nashville coffee shops for three years, I frequented Joe Bean for a couple weeks after moving to Rochester and found it subpar in its product and service.
The service is generally pretentious and smug, and the care taken to create their product regrettably doesn't produce anything special. Save your time and money, and go to Glen Edith or Fuego. The employees are simply more pleasant to interact with, and you'll leave happier overall.

I have just recently started visiting Joe beans in the past months, i love knowing a local roastary takes great pride in producing quality, great tasting specialty coffee. The service is excellent and the baristas really know there coffee, just ask. I recommend this coffee house to everyone whom I talk about coffee with, and let's just say I meet a lot of coffee lovers, I myself am a barista but i work for a bigger coffee shop, so This isn't the only place I drink coffee but, it sure is great having an amazing cup of coffee freshly made the right way.

As frequent customers and great advocates in the past, we have seen a change in joe beans as they push towards a more inclusive dining experience rather than a coffee bar. Although the change certainly broadens the appeal and scope of the establishment, I feel some of the genuinity has been lost. Joe beans does, in my opinion, still have the beat coffee in Rochester.

Outstanding coffee and atmosphere. I go at least once every time I'm in Rochester. Always buy a pound of green beans for home roasting. One of the best coffee shops anywhere!

Absolutely delicious. AMAZING service, and very intelligent baristas. The food was sublime, LOVED every bite. Wonderful atmosphere, definitely a must visit when in Rochester. I will DEFINITELY be back!

Can't find enough words to say how much we LOVE LOVE LOVE Joe Bean's! We drive a long way out of our way to visit them and buy coffee. The Mexican Decaf is just heavenly. The Ethiopian? Superlative! Dark Chocolate Roast? To die for!

perhaps a little too-overrated as being masters of coffee, but compared to any non-afficionado locale, these people know their stuff. If you're looking for anything more than mediocre to terrible, chain coffee shop, or even more than nice local shop with pretty good coffee, but short of getting to roast your own beans and hand-grind into your chemex, pour over, or cold brew, this is definitely the place for you. Helping to get people into the passion of more truly, do-it-yourself coffee. Keep up the good work!

The food was way over priced. The portion size was really small. I ordered a wild greens salad, there was no hominy corn in it just yellow sweet corn . The dressing was bitter and the drink I ordered was not delivered, a substitute was brought and it was warm. I was given a glass with no ice for it. Over all I was very dissatisfied and I will not go back, nor would I recommend that anyone else go there.😤

The service and ambiance was nice, but the jamon flatbread I ordered tasted like rancid oil. The other ingredients had no flavor really, so I was just overwhelmed by the awful taste of rancid oil. I couldn't finish it, and it was by far the worst meal I've had at a restaurant in all my memory. I felt bad to not like it because the people working there seem so lovely.

The vibe in here rules. Kind, attentive and real staff. The coffee is on another level. Also had a wild good Cookie and snagged a 4 pack of cold brew to go. Pro tip: the 4 pack is a crazy better unit price.
