Joe Bean needs to be at the top of your list for places to visit in Rochester,NY. They are brilliant & creative . Their coffee, bar & select food items are exceptional . Recently mentioned in USA today for bringing the first public "parklet" to Rochester . Try their "Sprobomb " Beer with a shot of espresso :)

The BEST coffee in roc. Breakfast options are delightful. The Shaken cold brew is a specialty here but they are absolute on the Tails of every great brew house in NYC and PDX

Been getting our coffee here for some time now. Healthier made and great tasting. The folks are super nice with a great atmosphere.

Classy bar serving coffee, cocktails, beer and wine! A great place to meet friends! Also, completely fair trade certified, working with individual coffee farmers to help their businesses grow.

Awesome coffee served a variety of ways! Bread pudding is great!

Almost laughably pretentious coffee shop. They're so busy trying to keep up the image of being a hipster cafe that the product and service go lacking. I ordered an Americano and was presented with a tiny cup about 1/3 full, perhaps 2 ounces of liquid. Thinking they'd mistakenly given me just an espresso shot, I asked and was told that it was correct. After I got them to add more hot water it was an okay beverage, but come on. According to Wikipedia this technically qualifies as an Americano but is certainly not what one expects in America.

I love this place but last night was not the best. The band was slow to play, there was not seating for more than two at once and it was just not what we expected. I brought out of town guests and we left after a short time sadly. This place had great wine and great coffee so I was disappointed last night.

Nice vibe , good lighting, friendly staff, great coffee. Emphasis on denoting the providence and flavor of their roasts and providing tools to let customers brew at home. Really enjoyed it.

Arrived at 12:30 and the shop was fairly empty. Neither barista welcomed us, we had to get our own menu, and waited a full twenty minutes before asking for service. We were told, "we have these customers to wait on first" despite the fact that we had arrived BEFORE said customers. Additionally, one barista had spend 20 of the 25 minutes talking to what appeared to be friends before going over to help barista 2 with the customers who'd arrived after us. Sad that we wanted to patronize a local place but were not welcomed. Clearly, we were not "hipster" enough for these two young men.
