Great customer service, but wasn’t a big fan of the food which is the most important thing. Had the walleye fish and chips. The fish was fishy, the fries were good and the coleslaw was not good. I like that they offer malt vinegar. The tarter sauce was basic and not flavorful.
Nice little shop inside - got some cheeses to go. I’d probably recommend trying it for the smoked/dried fish and cheese. The fish and chips were too fishy to go back again.

If you want fresh fish and chips, this is the spot! Cozy and very welcoming. It was too cold for the patio, but seems it would be a great spot to eat once it's warmer out.

They have phenomenal smoked fish and much more. Service was great with free samples. Can't go wrong here!

There is nothing better than walking into a boutique fishmonger Cafe and listen to the next generation owner make small talk to a local. I was there to buy 2 pieces of smoked fish for a guys trip to the boundary waters but walked away with an amazing story of a puppy golden retriever, its older golden brother and their exploits with mink. BTW the smoked lake trout and whitefish as to die for.

The smoke Salmon Chowder was more like soup. It definitely not made the way they use to serve it. The fried Herring was very good.

Nice place to stop and have lunch. I ordered the whitefish and chips and the buttermilk cheese curds. All were really good but I especially liked the cheese curds. We ordered inside and ate outside, looking over the lake. Service was fairly quick and the food came out fairly hot. Prices were fair. Staff was friendly. I will go back if in the area.

Amazing options - so lucky to have a fresh fish market in Grand Marais!

Super casual informal place for really great fish. The walleye fish and chips were amazing, as was the walleye chowder. The staff were really friendly and helpful -- is it because we're up north, or just this place? Not sure. Note that there was bacon in the chowder -- so be sure to ask about ingredients if you're a pescatarian or if you have Halal or Kosher diet requirements. We'll be coming again for sure. P.S. the bathroom is really cool. :)

View is nice. Food is fine. Expect to pay for the tourist price. Service was mehhh. $5.00 for a can of domestic beer. Definitely wouldn't need to go back
