The Fisherman's Daughter at Dockside Fish Market

Pretty good fish and chips. The fries were honestly so good they outshined the cod. kind of pricey but worth it and excellent service! The woman that took my order was very kind and bubbly. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Grand Marais!

The salmon fish and chips and my husband's shrimp and chips were wonderful! I loved the crunchy coating and tender, flaky salmon and we both loved the lightly battered fries. The coleslaw was tasty, too--and Dorothy's root beer is a nice accompaniment. It was the best meal we had on this trip to Grand Marais.

Nice fish fry, dine outside/window order only August 2020. Walleye very good and fries are good too!! Cheese curds good too. Herring sandwich was good and their coleslaw was good. The service was good too. Herring was over all great but one bite was a little fishy where the skin/dark area - can’t down grade for one bite the rest was good!!

Delicious! Small and quaint with great food and friendly service. The Maple Baxon Cheese Curds are amazing and so are the Fish and Chips!

Every time I order Fish and Chips from somewhere else, I am completely disappointed. This place has excellent Fish and Chips -no other place compares. They have great food, friendly and quick customer service and you can buy a variety of spreads and fish to take home. The out door patio in the back has a very nice view over looking the lake.

After four years of coming to the North Shore each fall, Dockside stands out as one of our "must eat" destinations. Their fish basket is perfect - locally caught fish changes depending on the day, but can include whitefish, herring, and other Lake Superior options. Everything is breaded in a light, crisp coating that lets the fish shine, and the fries are flavorful and fresh. My husband also loves the smoked trout and salmon, which we bring home in bulk.

The service and the coziness are top notch. The view out the window can't be beat.. and then you get your food... ugh I make my own fish in all sorts of ways and tacos are my staple. These walleye tacos put me to shame. They're incredible... they DO NOT skimp on the amount of fish or toppings and to wash it down with a cold beer... 10/10

The smoked salmon dip is SO GOOD. Brought it on a ski trip and was loved by many. We also got the cheese curds which hit the spot.

Incredible food, I was hesitant to try the Herring fish and chips but the owner convinced me to try it and man, it was awesome. You've got to check this place out and try it

Delicious! We stopped here after a BWCA trip and wow did it hit the spot. Fried to perfection so you can actually taste the fresh fish. Staff was very friendly too.
