Cutest little spot by the water! Fresh caught fish for lunch! Breading/seasoned fish & chips were perfect for our late lunch!

Best fish and chips in town.

4 stars for the location and nice staff. Food was mediocre. Not bad. Cheese curds were good!

Ceecee Vang

Very good. Bacon cheese curds were a little sweet but I’m not mad at it. I enjoyed the shrimp as well.

Awesome place to rest and eat, food and views were great! Definitely worth stopping, you won’t regret it!

Quick and helpful staff! Good view of the folk school happenings on the back deck seating. The best tarter sauce dip around. A little less maple on the maple curds would be appreciated

Overall a great experience! The indoor dining is a bit small so be aware if you have a larger group. But the food was pretty good! We got the fish tacos and fish and chips which was fresh caught Herring! I definitely recommend the fish tacos. We also had their lemon bars which were surprisingly really tasty!

Needed a light lunch. Put our name in at Angry Trout - which looks awesome - and then found this place. Didn't need a big meal so ended up being perfect. Hubby had shrimp meal, we shared the fish chowder and I had the whitefish. The fish was so fresh, it melted in your mouth. His shrimp was also amazing. And, the chowder was fabulous. Sat outdoor on the back porch and truly enjoyed it. Was perfection. Had choice of three fresh fish that day - whitefish, herring and trout. Do it!

The food was ok, and the prices were high. I understand it's a tourist spot. But for 4 people, being over $100 I would expect the food to be above average. I had fried clams and all I could taste was fry batter.

Absolutely outstanding food - the best meal in Grand Marais! The herring we got was fresh and delicious. The fries and homemade tartar sauce were also incredibly tasty. Definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to get some fresh caught lake fish in a quick and cozy environment!
