Hope I could give more than 5 stars!
This is a nostalgic place where you can have the best food with great deals!
I love the deal on Thursdays, which you can have a double cheeseburger for $6.
The fish and chips is also another great story!

The Hi-Hat has an old time feels to the shop and adds some pizzazz and fun to the overall feel. Plenty of outdoor seating with an employee announcing orders being completed over the intercom.
Very friendly staff, excellent food, and very quick to get your orders even during busier times. I have zero complaints for this establishment. They also have their warming house next door where you can get some coffee, ice cream, and other treats and desserts afterwards.

Saw it on a list for great burgers so made it our ride destination and we were not disappointed. You went through a line to order gave you a number but it went fast. The food was great and you got alot of it. The place had a dog park, picnic tables in a roofed building, a totally separate building for restrooms which was very clean and a sandwich/coffee/ice cream shop. It also had alot of parking including for campers, boats or buses. It was great find not disappointed.

There’s a reason the line for Gordy’s Hi Hat stretches out the door. Buttttt… there’s also a reason you get your order placed within 5-8 minutes of arriving. The food is excellent, and the service matches (exceeds).
Gordy’s is the ideal place to stop on the way to or from Northern Minnesota.
The fish sandwich and chips basket are delicious, with freshly caught fish, and the fries are brilliant.
Don’t forget to order a shake - there are plenty of flavors to choose from and this sure is dairyland.

We belong to a burger facebook group and it’s told that Gordy’s is a must. We were on our way to Duluth and made the stop. We walked and the place was packed with long lines, but those lines were moving fast. We ordered the bacon double. Good burger, good flavor and the bacon was definitely flavorful. The bun was huge. We also got the spicy chicken burger. This is cayenne peppered breast of chicken with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and kosher pickle. Now finally someone knows how to Mayo on a sandwich. It needed more pickle because we only got 2 little pickles. We had to take a tomato off because there was 2 thick cut slices which made it extra messy and hard to keep together. Good flavor. We also got the onion rings. We were told these are legendary. We were a bit disappointed because when you picked one up all the breading fell off. We will say it was a fluke and try them again. We got Guy Fieri blackberry handcrafted shake. Definitely good but maybe a different flavor next time. Now those fries! AMAZING! The best fries I’ve ever had. Crispy, flavorful and a lot of them. We also had the chili. Not a fan. It was too sweet and to chunky, but that’s personal preference. The staff was amazing. Fun and courteous. This will be our go to place when heading to the North Shore!

the burgers, fries and malts are out of this world. Very reasonably priced and extremely delicious. Each time that I have been here the service has been extremely friendly and even when there are long lines they move extremely quickly. if you have not stopped, make it a point next time you pass by! worth noting, that they are open only seasonally - check before you go.

Definitely can see why they've been around for 62 some years. Great service and food. If you are headed North make a pit stop in Cloquet and stop at Gordy's you will not be disappointed. Everything is fresh and made to order and flavor is on point. Definitely try the Blackberry shake and onion rings.

Awesome place to grab a burger on the way up north. Very convenient place to stop. Burgers and service are off the charts excellent. New lunch stop every time I’m in the area.

Even though I am giving it a thumbs up but the thumb wants to to turn a bit. First, the food is good, but you get more veggie toppings which can be good or bad on the burger and can get a bit messy. Second, the onion rings could of use a crunch and flavor but were actually good and the bite through was flawless. Good job on that. Third, the atmosphere is good and family friendly, but it is a bit tight than I want it to be and due to the amount of people and small spacing, it was noisy. Overall, Gordy is good to go to for something local instead of booger king or any other fast food chains. I had a Bacon deluxe with onion rings and a chocolate shake. It can get a bit pricey.

Outstanding All American food retaraunt with burgers, fries, shakes, chili dogs, etc. all at a great low price. Seems to be a very busy place, line was out the door but moved extremely fast. The staff was very friendly and seemed like a fine tooned system they had in the kitchen. Food came out fast and was great, especially the super crispy, mild seasoned fries, delicious. Forget all the regular fast food spots, this is the place to stop in Cloquet. Also how can you not want to stop when you see a giant rock burger, I thought that was genius.
