The Dam Cafe

One of the best breakfast spots in Holyoke but only because there are not many. Each time I go I'm underwhelmed. The food is unimpressive and the coffee is not memorable. Still it appears to be a townie favorite. It's nice to see a place like this in Holyoke I just wish the food was better.

AMAZING food. The Florence sandwich was delicious and was served with cool spiral chips! The ambiance and people working there were really nice. Great place to sit down with friends and have a coffee. The doughnuts and other baked goods looked incredible!!!

I’ve been frequenting the dam cafe for years!! I usually recognize the workers and they’re always friendly with great customer service. Today however that was not the case… I ordered my food and EXPLICITLY asked if I needed to wait in the cafe for my food or if they will bring it out back to me, she said she will bring it out back to me. Twenty five minutes later I go in to a completely empty restaurant and my order was sitting on the counter while the workers were chatting loudly as my food sat there for who knows how long getting cold. I didn’t mention anything to the careless staff because at that point I was livid. The food was obviously delicious but they even forgot my drink and napkins. Left me in a horrible mood to say the least.

Good homemade breakfast at a decent price.

My family and I gathered here on a Saturday morning. It was pretty busy, but we were able to find a spot to accommodate our group. Unfortunately, there wasn't anyone going around to clean tables and no spray was available to wipe them down. We made due with our hand sanitizer. The menu had breakfast and lunch options available. We sent one family member up to order at the register and waited for our drinks. Shortly after our food arrived. Unfortunately, two meals must have been forgotten about. One was quick and easily prepared quickly. The other, took much longer with multiple attempts to check on this missing meal. Everyone had finished before the last meal was brought out I got a chicken fajitas omelette. While the flavor was nice, I unfortunately had egg shells in the omelette. I also would have liked to have more condiments easily accessable. There were a few basic options available at the pick up station, that during this time was very crowded and not easily accessable. I did enjoy the coffee. They have different flavors available, including the seasonal pumpkin flavor!

I went the dam Cafe to get the Big Dam Burger and it REALLY IS ALL TASTE,not your average burger you just choke down,you do but with this the taste is ALL THERE..Thanks

Got the breakfast burrito. Was not impressed. Not much flavor, cheddar cheese wasn’t melted, potatoes were dry and had no seasoning. Staff was friendly and their baked goods look awesome but didn’t try them.

The restaurant had a great vibe to it and large portions. You stand in line to order and your food is brought to where you decide to sit down. I love places with this style of seating. No prices written on their displayed menu but everything was reasonably priced and cheaper than I was expecting. I had a veggie omelet and added ham. I was hungry and could only eat half. They had gluten free bread so I got to have toast!! The coffee was good and my friend and I each got muffins to go for our s/o we left at home. There were a lot of amazing muffins to choose from that all looked a million times more decadent than the cupcakes! I drove an hour to eat here as it was the halfway point between my friend and I and it was worth the drive.

Baked foods here are really delicious, the lunch food was good, and the service was kind. I enjoyed the kettle chips they served with my grinder.

Incredible food- breakfast, lunch, dinner, sweet treats and everything in between! The butter toffee iced coffee (black) is amazing! Salads are perfection!!
