As a college student, the village is convenient. This place seemed like a great place, so I had assumed. I made the mistake of having outside food at the table I was sitting at in front of this establishment. There was no sign indicating this was wrong, therefore, it was an honest mistake on my behalf.
After almost finishing my food, the owner, Mark, approached me and informs me of the rule of no outside food. I thanked him and apologized for my mistake. In my head, I thought I would just throw away my food and go inside and order a drink so I could continue my Sunday afternoon outside at a table.
30 seconds hadn't passed by and Mark resurfaces, telling me, verbatim, "when I said that, that meant you needed to leave, right now." Totally rude and unnecessary as I was on my way to the trash can.
I would like to point out - customer service is the most important factor a business can have. It is what brings people back to the establishment. As Maya Angelou once said, "People won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel." I thought that could be a useful tip to the owner and the woman working behind the desk today.
I will not be returning and I will be letting all of my allies know about my experience there.

I had never been here before and was clueless about the menu. I asked the staff (wish I got his name ) that I wanted something sweet and cold and he made me something he thought I'd love and it was amazing! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and the inside is so cute. I haven't tried anything other than that drink (which I still don't know what it is) but I will definitely be back to try more!

I had been to The Cup a couple times before my last experience, but I will NEVER go again. The service was horrible, the workers and manager at the time was incredibly rude. After they messed up my order and I kindly asked them to remake it, I was told that I would have to repurchase the drink entirely (even though I would only get one). The whole experience was uncomfortable and a disappointment. I also asked if I could put my drink in a reusable cup (because I care about the environment) and they said no because it had a small logo from Starbucks on it. I get that branding is important so I respected that, but I did not respect the way that they handled it. They literally said, “we really don’t even want you bringing that in the cafe, it looks horrible like you can’t stomach our product...it gives us a bad look”. If I was advertising for a different company then I could see why they thought that, but 1) I wasn’t and 2) there were maybe 4 other people in the whole cafe.

Great service and good coffee! Perfect place to have a meeting, date, or just to nurse your caffeine addiction. They sell more than just coffee, have lots of seating, and are in a great location for BSU students. Worth a visit atleast once while you’re here. Bring all your friends!

Well I did like the place but now I'm kinda worried about going back. I was getting a gift card for my friend's birthday (not knowing if they had any or not) and a coffee. The guy working there at the time was friendly and patient with me when I was ordering everything but as soon as he got to making the gift card (yes, MAKING, not just putting money on it. Getting a piece of paper, write the amount and the shop name on there with fancy-ish lettering, and putting tape around it. He could've just said that they don't have gift cards.), he was cursing under his breath and slamming things down as soon as he was done with them. I asked if everything was alright and he just kinda gave me a rude response under his breath like "Sure, why wouldn't I be?", then slammed the "gift card" down on the pick up counter like "There, gift card.". I said thank you and I left. The kicker here was that I wasn't the only one there. There was another guy there that was waiting to order and saw the whole thing. I was close to crying because I kept thinking that it was something that I done. That kind of attitude about making a gift card when you could just say that you don't have any is not good to have around people with anxiety. Kinda hesitant to go here now.

I used to love this place until me and a friend (who had a coffee from on campus) decided we were going to sit outside their cafe and do homework. A man that worked here came outside before we even sat down and said "you can't have outside product on this patio. We sell coffee. You have to go." And he was extremely rude about it. We thought he was joking around with us but clearly he wasn't. So my friend THREW HER COFFEE AWAY that she had just bought so that we could sit there. So we go inside to ask if we could please sit outside their cafe now that her coffee is gone.... and they still wouldn't let us. I get that we didn't buy anything there but they were as rude as they possibly could have been. It's a shame because I love their coffee but they ruined it for me and we will not be coming back.

I have been to this coffee shop a few times before to study and do homework because it’s right in front of my apartment and I like the atmosphere of it. I don’t usually buy anything, first because I’m a broke college student and second because I am gluten free and I’m very picky about the things I eat. Today I was sitting there writing a paper with my headphones in and I brought my own yeti of sweet tea to drink while I sat there. This man that has never bothered me in my prior visits comes to me and asks if he can get me anything, like I thought he was being nice. I said “no thank you I’m just doing my homework”. He proceeds to tell me that it defeats the purpose of coming to a coffee shop with you’re own beverage and that if I’m not going to buy anything I need to pack up my bag and leave. Didn’t know a poor girl with an allergy wasn’t allowed on your property, but I will be back to sit and do my homework.

Coffee and food is okay but way overpriced. Costs around $5 for most decent drinks. It's a nice place to sit outside, but be warned they will ask you to leave if someone has any product from another establishment. Don't seem too caring about their customers either.

Terrible. I sat in the coffee shop as a customer for 3+ hours studying. When I came out, my car had been towed. I will never go back to this place. When I asked them about it they shrugged their shoulders and said they could not do anything about it. Now I am out $110 instead having a relaxing experience.
