Big Four Café

Excellent food but poor service. Took over 10 minutes to get seated and it was not that busy. We were getting ready to walk out and someone finally came and seated us. Slow waitress and when we were ready to pay our bill the waitress was eating at the bar and chatting! Probably will not go back.

I've definitely had better.

I got the chicken bacon avacado sandwich, it was much smaller than I thought it was going to be. The menu said pulled chicken and it was more chunks rather than pulled.

I got fries and they tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours, they had the potential to be really good if they were fresh, but they were terrible.

Onion rings were really yummy, they used red onion rather than the traditional white, which I thought weekend be super overpowering, but it wasn't at all and they were really good. They did have quite a bit of batter on them, but they were delicious!

No dessert.

I enjoyed the pulled chicken and avocado pressed sandwich on ciabatta with great skinny fries! Very pleasant waitress.

I honestly want to move to Batesville just because of Big Four Cafe! My boyfriend and I were camping in Batesville this past weekend and decided to go out for breakfast Saturday morning. We found this place on a Google search. First of all it is the cutest little place! Secondly the food was absolutely amazing and even that feels like its lacking in describing how good it was. I had the breakfast burrito and he had the biscuits and gravy. I then ordered an iced mocha to go. That was hands down the best iced mocha I have EVER had!! The food was so good we decided to have breakfast there again on Sunday! It definitely did not disappoint on the second day either! The prices are amazing for the portions. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was super clean. All around a great place!!!

Very nice restaurant! It's a hidden gem! You could walk right past the building and wouldn't know it was there. That's my only negative comment about the place because I like the setup once you're inside. I got the 10-slice BLT on Ciabatta bread and it was great! The onion rings have a unique seasoning on them that's excellent! I will definitely be back here!

The Big Four Cafe is a quaint little dining area off the beaten path in Batesville. It's in the old RomWeber building along with the senior living facility. They have a wonderful breakfast and lunch. I believe now they are also open for dinner. I love this place because besides having great food and service, they also provide a valuable community service to the residents of the facility.

Words cannot do justice to the wonderful experiences we have encountered in the years that we have been using Izzy’s Catering for our corporate events. Everything is very easy when booking an event - no matter how large or small, the food is always amazing, the staff is flexible and they never cease to exceed our expectations. The pricing is very reasonable, their catering staff is exceptional and I would recommend Izzy's for all of your catering needs.

The location is a little weird at first as it's in the interior of a converted old manufacturing building in downtown Batesville... but the food is outstanding and mostly homemade!!! They even have gluten free options that work with my wife's dietary restrictions.

Our first visit was on a Saturday in January just after noon. Our server was very helpful and sweet. I had the biscuits & steak Benedict and my wife has a breakfast skillet with side of GFO pancake. To say that we were both very pleased with our orders is an understatement!

Assuming the food and service quality remains high, I think we have found our regular spot in Batesville!

It’s hard to make good gf food. The gf waffles were delicious. Everything else was good as well. Good service.

We frequent this place on Sundays and the breakfast is superb. So many breakfast joints overcook the food. Not Big 4 - eggs are just right and the sausage is just a little bit juicy. The potatoes are perfectly fried with a mix of onions and other veges. The coffee is seriously good and they have real cream in a container - no little packages to open and environmentally sound. Speaking of the environment, they don't use styrofoam for their to-go boxes which is excellent. Always good service, modern iPad checkout. I am a fan. Fair pricing.
