If your looking for a hidden gem to visit in the great Hoosier state of Indiana you must make the trip to Big Four Café in Batesville. There were four of us and we each can’t wait to return. Cool aesthetic and great food!

We had lunch today at the Big Four Cafe and will will return whenever in Batesville. I had the Arugula Salad topped with the most tender, flavored shredded roasted chicken. My husband had the best BLT and onion rings! The waitress and hostess were so friendly and nice. Five stars to the chef who prepares everything from scratch. A lucky find for us!

A neat welcoming atmosphere good service and great food. We have been here before but today made the round trip drive from Indy. We will be back.

Love this restaurant! The owners & staff are outstanding! The food is great…at least breakfast is! I like that the proceeds from our meals helps sustain the assisted living residents within the building. They get great meals!

Surprising place.
It doesn't stand out from the outside. But, very nice once you enter the building.
Service was great. Food was great. Price was as expected. They have a wide range of foods to choose from. As it was my first time , I got the burger and onion rings. Burger was juicy and perfect. The onions were obviously hand- dipped, not frozen. Very good. We'll be back. I'll try something different next time.

The food is great visually designed per serving and the food is great tasting! The prices for the food and drinks are reasonably priced also😊
My husband and our oldest kid and I went there on December 26th 2020 for brunch and food was great!

We arrived at 9:38a with group of 4. 4 open tables open, and we were told they were holding ALL tables as they were reserved for 10a reservations. We could have ordered and been about done with breakfast before the next group arrived. They turned several groups away. Staff was kinda rude. Very disappointing.

I’ll skip this place moving forward. Let’s start off with the good: menu is creative and plenty of options for everyone, the aesthetic is pleasing and they serve beer/wine. While I won’t go into specifics about what happened, I will say that the staff who have been there the longest are so rude and unprofessional. Asked for a manager and a young lady arrived at the table and said “what’s up”. Really can’t make this stuff up. Another “manager” approached the table and was super argumentative. Sad.
Edit in response to the response from owner: You say you asked us not to return and that is just a lie. It's not bullying to ask someone to walk away from the table when they are being unprofessional and not helping to resolve the issue and being argumentative. You my dear brought your stress from having to address a situation on your supposed time off. Never do you project your job dissatisfaction onto a customer, it's weird.
