Big Four Café

Cute little cafe with lots of big flavor options--even for the gluten free! Took me a few to get through the menu just because I had so many GF options! Waitress knowledgeable about the menu, substitutions and cooking to help choose (cross-contamination). Waited a bit longer than expected for the few ppl in the restaurant at the early time I was there BUT they also had a very busy carry-out running so that should be taken into account. Looked slow at first but the carryout said otherwise... Didn't have to wait on a waitress regardless. Kept our drinks full while we waited in their pleasant little space. Very likely to stop here again on my way through.

Delightful little place, excellent service, great food, very happy with this find! My daughter and grandkids live in Indianapolis so this is a great halfway point to where we live in Cincinnati. There were five adults and two small children and the service was excellent from the moment we walked in till the moment we left. Phoenix was our server, she was great, can't wait to go back to this place and try more of the delicious food!

A great find and hidden gem! My wife had the apple cinnamon pancakes and I had the pressed rotisserie chicken bacon avacado wrap. Best fries (hand-cut) I've had in a long time. The service was awesome and my 2-year old's mini pancakes and bacon we're FREE! The atmosphere is and service is impeccable. The food is of high quality. I highly recommend!

The food was greasy. My daughters chicken tenders were burnt. Our fries were cold and old. Worse experience ever. The manager new the grease was old and still served the food. I do not recommend this place at all

This place is in a building towards the rear. There is parking in the front. The food my wife and I had was very good. We had a cuban with onion rings, and the bisket and gravy Benedict with country fried steak. Yummy...as was the coffee...very strong, but excellent. We will definitely be back to try more from the menu, which wasn't huge, but offered a respectable variety.

Meh. Food isn't bad, but paper straws (really?) and an unprofessional staff make it mediocre at best.
Returned on 13 Feb and it seems to have improved! Had the Cuban sandwich and it was really good. The waitress was pretty sharp and on the spot with drink refills when needed.
Aasannnddd went back again. 40 minute wait, waitress couldn't care less.....
This place is either fantastic or really bad, just depends on your luck.

What happened to Big 4? This used to be an amazing eatery. They had the wall of burgers!! The parmesean hashbrowns all gone!! It was a small selection of very meh foods and an underwhelming staff attitude. The bacon was good so I guess there is that. I will remember them as they were and pass them on next road trip!

Great restaurant… a little hard to find but 100% worth the effort. Cajun shrimp pasta was incredible. Atmosphere was nice and the service was friendly and attentive.

Updated 6/21: Wow, what a terrible experience. I'm not sure if it was just an off day, but I typically look forward to going here when I'm in town... No longer. Waited over 20 minutes for 2 eggs, bacon and toast. Not to mention severely over cooked eggs and bacon you could read a newspaper through. I can't describe what a huge disappointment the meal was. I hope it's not indicative of the quality here now. I'm not sure I'll be back.

Original: Very impressed with everything I've had here. The menu isn't huge, but there's plenty of good stuff to choose from! Well, let me rephrase...the burger menu is huge, but the rest has a bit fewer options. Lunch from here is actually something I look forward to when visiting Batesville for work!

Great place for breakfast. Huge list of burgers. Food is always great and reasonable priced.
