Very deceptive company. I just left Robust Coffee on 63rd & Woodlawn. Adter ordering a breakfast bowl, which clearly shows the price of $5.95 on their chalkboard menu, the total came up to $8.95. With the current Chicago tax of 10.75%, this would have brought my total to $6.59. When I asked the woman at the register why is it higher, she said that that was the price with tax. I showed her the chalkboard that shows the price at $5.95 and she said she doesn't know why that's there. I asked to speak to the manager but the manager told her to inform me that she didn't have time to speak with me. After hearing this I refuse to purchase anything from this business. I also took a photo of the chalkboard menu on the wall. I see they are clearly trying to get over on people in the community by overcharging them and/or displaying false pricing. I will be filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General and through 311.

went there to get food & was told the kitchen was shut down because it was the owner's birthday and there were at least 6 people working. lol. trifling

The apple pancakes were nice. I wasn't a fan of the apple filling being dumped in the muddle and i ate around it. My co worker had the south shore club and enjoyed it. The atmosphere was friendly and I would go back.

The ambience and atmosphere was great, but the food here was not good at all. I had a 63rd street turkey club, and the meat was so salty it was basically inedible. The bottled/cold drinks were fine though, and the coffee is probably good.

When I walked inside the music sounded so good my first time ever been there the young lady behind the counter explained everything in details because I'm vision-impaired. I had the best green smoothie so tasty and so healthy I will be back for half off breakfast 6 a.m.til 8 a.m. and I've Been Told the brisket sandwiches is the best in the world I see you guys real soon thanks for the outstanding service gentlemen's playing chess such a nice place to lounge around and meet nice people

The smoothie was good. Service was adequate. The grits were great! The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was not like any gravy I’d ever had before and it tasted weird. I don’t know, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t gravy. I don’t know how else to describe it. The sausage was really good! The more that I think about it, and the consistency was like gravy for potatoes. Not gravy for biscuits. And the biscuits, we’re not, they were not baking powder biscuits. They were yeast biscuits? They taste so good. I guess the whole point of this review was that while it tasted good it was not what I was expecting and it was not traditional.

Shyrelle hooked me up with. Matcha Lemonade with Coconut and Almond Flavors. Matcha Lemonade is one of my favorite drinks from the Summer. So, I had to get it on a 65 degree day in November.

I had a bagel and lox with a banana chai smoothie. My total was approximately $13. The Bagel was fresh had a substantial amount of cream cheese and plenty of vegetables and lox. The banana chai was sick and definitely had the banana flavor as a fresh banana was used. I personally like my child little stronger, so in the future when I return, I would ask for extra chai. The staff was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was chipper and social. The establishment was also very clean with plenty of seating. A very trendy little neighborhood Cafe!

Great coffeeshop, great food. The 63rd Street Club is all kinds of delicious.
