Robust Coffee Lounge

The service was quick and friendly. Coffee tastes great. Staff was very knowledgeable about the whole bean coffee I wanted to purchase.

I only give 4 stars because the egg bacon and cheese on English muffin was absolutely obliterated with salt. The sandwiches had more salt than the Pacific Ocean. I love salty food, but this was outrageous.

I still ate the sandwich and now I look like the baddie from Last Crusade who chose the wrong goblet.

The green smoothie, banana bread French toast and build your own croissant sandwich with egg and bacon 🥓!! 😋 Yum.

I was visiting from DC to spend time with family and my mom recommended we go to Robust. She shared how she appreciates the location - not quite in Hyde Park but not in the hood either.

She lives in a food desert and said that she comes to this place when she needs a balanced meal. I’m thankful she has this place to go to! My husband and I enjoyed as well 💕 I wanted to try everything! Next time I’ll get a donut 😄

Their banana bread French toast is scrumptious and delightfully crave worthy!!! The salads are very tasty and fresh! Everything is high quality and packaged with care! I highly recommend this jewel of a cafe! So happy to have this on Chicago’s Southside!!!

First time here and it will Not be my last ! This place is full of good food, good people and good vibes. They serve breakfast all day and that’s a winner for me. I had the Grits bowl and it was really different as well as really good. Never thought to pile everything in a bowl of grits . My Chi tea latte was great and hit the spot as the weather is cooling down some… I got a peak at how to play chess which was cool too. I would have given 5 stars but they could use some extra help with cleaning as the tables were dirty and too many of gnats joined in on my meeting 🤷🏽‍♀️

Love there food very affordable and tasty. The banana French toast was delicious. I ate my left over 😩 even cold it taste like banana bread. Sorry not Sorry they are the balm the banana smoothie is awesome as well.

I got my bowl and it didn’t have the Avocadoooo I NEEDED. & They don’t answer their phone LAWD Why as a business have a phone number that you don’t answer and mailbox is full.
I travel too far to support this business.
Note to self ALWAYS CHECK MY ORDER (even if I’m on the brink of being late) FROM NOW ON & Remember they won’t answer calls to be updated on mistakes they’ve made.
I am very upset about that Avacado by the way 😭 I mean it was on the receipt guys c’mooonnn

This neighborhood coffee shop is full of charm, atmosphere, and friendly service. They have a large drink and food menu and everything we've had has been wonderful. Only complaint is that the smoothies can be a little chunky 😋

Amazing! Even though I have not yet visited this establishment, I have had the best service thus far from them! I always order a variety of items due to my family's age range however they always get it right every single time! The food is always hot and delicious. And they even had cute little wooden stoppers in our coffee! I am extremely thrilled to order from them every chance I get!

I come here often, but I was very disappointed that I found a long hair in my breakfast bowl. I was disgusted and I won't be going back.

This used to me a nice, quick, go to spot to grab something for my kids and I, but this morning I spent $47 on 4 bacon, egg and cheese croissants, and 3 vanilla bean drinks. Now the sandwiches are marked at $4.95 each and the drinks are $5.45 each. That's a total of $36.15 before tax. No receipt was given and even when I questioned the total, the young man kept saying because of the 4 sandwiches. It's sad but as of now, I don't think I will be visiting anymore and I will definitely not recommend them to anyone I know. I will actually tell anyone I know NOT to visit here. If prices have gone up then they need to post updated prices.
