This is by far my favorite stop in Boise. The food is absolutely fantastic, the wine/beer list is extensive and well vetted, and the staff and owner are extremely fun and friendly. Awesome place to hangout, id give it 10 stars if I could

There are not a lot of dining options leaving Boise on State street and heading to Eagle. My wife and I decided to stop at "The Local" and have a glass of wine, which lead to some Nosh. My wife had the Taco Trio and I had the Nachos. Delicious! We have been back several times since then. Great atmosphere and occasional live music. Perfect for relaxing after work, having a drink and enjoying a light dinner with no blaring TV's.

New to the area, thought I would check out some local places. I walked in the front door and was immediately greeted warmly by the bartender Katie. I ordered a drink and some soup. The cook brought the soup out and she also greeted me with a earm smile. I am obviously very impressed with the staff here, and the soup was great too!!

I am always extremely pleased with this place. Unfortunately tonight my boyfriend and I came in to have some food and maybe a beer and it was the worst service Iāve ever received. And thatās coming from a server of 6 years. We walked in and sat at a table in clear view of the staff. A server walked past our table several times to fill other tables waters and collect dirty plates from tables that had already left. We werenāt acknowledged at all and we waited for 10 minutes at least. We finally decided to leave after we realized they clearly didnāt want us there.

From the outside, this tiny unassuming place may be hard to miss. But it really captures the spirit of the north end. Nice people, good atmosphere. And great food and wine. I love this place!

Cute neighborhood gastropub/restaurant. Nothing crazy but it feel comfortable. Food was pretty good. I can definitely see there is some thought behind the dishes weāve had.

Great place! The food was good, the service was fabulous. They had live music. A fun local place. I can't wait to try out the patio when it warms up and opens

We went here for a snack before going to Paint and Sip. Ended up being really great. We sat on the patio which was enclosed enough to dampen the noise from state street. The patio is open to the inside and on the shaded west end of the building. Although you can tell that the place is geared more towards drinks and cocktails the food was great. I had a locally made hard cider that was crisp and delicious. Cant remember the name :/ my wife had a mango mascotto that was super colorful and sweet. We topped off our drinks with a charcuterie board and breads. It was awesome! I have had several different cheese boards in town and this one was by far the best. They did a great job pairing all the meats cheeses fruits and breads. The Local lives up to its name in decor and feel. I will definatley be going back.
