Our lunch was amazing! My spouse got the mac and cheese and thought it was wonderful. I tried the vegetable Dagwood sandwich and added roasted turkey so I could have the best of both worlds:-) and it was!!

Loved our dinner at The Local. Had a nice bottle of wine with a veggie sandwich on delicious bread from Gaston's and the Local salad on the side. Everything was wonderful!

Four of us went there last night for dinner. It was our first time there. Liked the ambiance. But operationally, a lot of issues. Our server was very nice and handled our concerns very well. The restaurant was not busy but food was slow to come out of the kitchen. We ordered a couple of the awesome pretzel appetizers. They took so long to come to the table that dinner came before we had finished enjoying them. The dining room temp was too cold. If most customers are sitting at their table in a jacket, someone should notice that there is an issue. Two of the dinners were fine and two were not. Charging for soft drink refills is so 10 years ago. Chili was sent back because it was cold. Chicken on the salad was pink and had to be returned. As someone who worked in food service for 35 years, food safety has no equal. Serving or holding hot food in the food temperature danger zone or serving something like under-cooked chicken is simply not acceptable under any circumstances. When it comes to food safety, don't guess. Use your pocket thermometer.

I've always been a huge fan of this place, the food is always great and it's close to home. The other night (Monday) we stopped in and grabbed a table. It was busy, but the restaurant wasn't full by any means. A server motioned that she would be right over...... And then we sat and waited..... For 15 minutes we sat and waited until we finally just got up and left. Maybe it was a bad night, maybe someone had called in sick? I know this isn't standard, but it was disappointing to say the least. To brag about how great a place is and then bring friends and receive no service is embarrassing. I'll be back, but with caution.

2 out of 4 of my items ordered were wrong. Food was great but wrong orders. Also, the musician sucked. Sang through his nose and ruined the songs. No Bueno.

I recently visited the local for first time and I had an experience that will keep me coming back. I was a little overwhelmed with the large wine selection , but my server Bri was able to lead to me to the perfect glass. The nachos are also to die for. I will definitely be back thanks the excellent food and service!

Went Jan. 2, 2020 for dinner. Place was empty, service was sub-par very inattentive. Food was ok...tri-tip sandwich was good and Sante Fe soup was good...the drawback was portion was very small. For 15 bucks you get very small sandwich and 3 oz cup of soup. Trying to be trendy with limited menu and portions. The attention and service is why the 2 star review. Waiter gave no follow up, did not ask if we liked our food and no refill until after we finished our entire meal. Had to steal my wifes water. Had to ask another person for bill. Sides are salad soup or chips...no fries at all...for those that wanna know. Not a fan, Gyro Shack is next door..probably will go there next time I am the area......

Hardest working employees I've seen in awhile. $5 refill on iced tea. Other party skipped refill on coffee.
